Printpack is seeking a qualified candidate to fill the position of RSI Operator for the Converting plant in Grand Prairie, TX. The RSI Operator is a skilled technical position responsible for operating and maintaining the Re-Seal It packaging line in a high-volume manufacturing environment. This role requires comprehensive knowledge of machine operations, quality control procedures, and safety protocols. This position is crucial for ensuring efficient production operations while maintaining product quality and meeting customer specifications in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. This position reports to the Shift Supervisor. This will be a 2nd shift position (3pm-11pm , Mon-Fri). Key Responsibilities:    Set up and operate the Re-Seal It line efficiently and effectively    Monitor equipment and process es to ensure quality standards   Demonstrates timely and effective problem-solving skills Perform quality control tests to meet customer specifications    E nsure finished product packaging meets customer requirements   Demonstrate problem-solving skills for operational issues    Perform routine maintenance activities    Troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions b y monitoring equipment performance and identifying potential issues   Enter and maintain accurate production data in PRISM system    Demonstrates effective interaction skills to support team activities related to effective process decisions and goals Demonstrates knowledge of plant and process safety rules, safe operating methods, and good housekeeping standards Monitors the area around the Re-Seal It line to ensure safety, environmental, and food safety policies and practices are followed.   Education & Experience:       Demonstrated stable work history    Problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities    Manufacturing experience preferred   Required Skills :    Technical aptitude and mechanical skills    Strong attention to detail    Problem-solving abilities    Basic computer proficiency including email    Ability to accurately read and use measuring tools    Effective communication skills    Ability to work independently and as part of a team   Additional Requirements:   Must be 18 years or older    Must pass pre-employment assessments    Drug screening required     Background check required     K nowledge , Skills & Abilities:       In-depth understanding of Re-Seal It machine operations and processes    Knowledge of quality control standards and testing procedures    Understanding of safety protocols and food safety regulations    Knowledge of preventive maintenance procedures    Understanding of PRISM system and data entry requirements    Knowledge of packaging specifications and standards    Machine setup and operation expertise     Technical troubleshooting and problem-solving    Equipment, maintenance and repair    Quality control testing and monitoring    Data entry and computer operation    Written and verbal communication    Teamwork and collaboration    Physical Demands: The associate will be exposed to the manufacturing environment where hazards and requirements may include but are not limited to :   Capability to lift and move up to 50 pounds    Ability to climb, kneel, bend, and squat    Proficiency in grasping, pushing, pulling, and fine motor skills   Manual dexterity for machine operation and maintenance    Ability to climb ladders safely    Capacity to stand and walk for extended periods    Ability to wear required PPE (hearing protection, steel-toe shoes, safety glasses)   Forklift certification or ability to obtain forklift and pallet jacks    Work Conditions: The majority of tasks will be performed in a manufacturing setting with exposure to:    Noise levels above 80 dB    Operation of complex machinery    Solvents, fumes and inks   Variable Temperatures   Must be able to work flexible shifts    May require nights, weekends, and holidays.     An additional $2.50/ hr premium for NIGHT Shift only between the hours of 7pm-7am. Any hours worked outside of 7pm-7am will not receive the premium   Additional Internal Requirements:   Must demonstrate Core Values  Must be in good standing with no disciplinary action or attendance issues (Associates in Written or higher stage of counseling are not eligible to apply) Must have performer or higher rating in last review  Demonstrated sense of urgency in production recovery situations  Printpack is proudly an equal-opportunity employer.
