This position is based out of Toyota North American Headquarters in Plano, TX
Who we’re looking for
Toyota is seeking a curious, experiment-minded Product Owner to help shape and deliver innovative digital products that improve the customer, dealer, and internal user experience. In this role, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product vision, prioritize features, and ensure solutions are delivered with quality and business value. Success in this role increasingly depends on using AI and new digital tools to work smarter, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys exploring better ways of getting the work done.
What you’ll be doing
Establish and create Product Capability Roadmaps / Strategies that support Supply Chain Business Hoshins
Lead and develop Business Case Proposal using objective, tangible and intangible facts and data to drive the decision making process.
Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring priorities align with business goals and customer needs
Partner with stakeholders to define product / capability requirements and acceptance criteria
Translate business objectives into clear user stories and actionable development work
Lead sprint planning, backlog refinement, and product review sessions
Monitor product performance and use data, including AI-assisted analysis, to inform decisions and continuous improvement
Identify opportunities, including emerging AI capabilities, to enhance customer experience, operational efficiency, and product value
Support release planning, testing coordination, and go-live readiness
Communicate product progress, risks, and dependencies to stakeholders
Ability to travel up to 20% both domestically and internationally as needed
What you bring
Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related discipline, or equivalent professional work experience within Supply Chain at Toyota
3+ years of experience as a Product Owner, Product Manager, Business Analyst, or similar role
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies
Ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams
Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills
Demonstrated problem solving skills, with curiosity to experiment and adopt new tools and ways of working
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
Product Owner Certification and/or prior Product Owner experience
Added bonus if you have
Completed JKK and TBP through panel
Experience with Toyota Way and MIFC (Material Information Flow Charting)
Experience writing user stories, defining acceptance criteria, and managing backlogs
Experience working in automotive, mobility, manufacturing, or enterprise technology environments is a plus
Software Development Life-Cycle Understanding
Business Analytics experience, preferably Power BI
Experience using AI tools, such as generative AI or large language models, to accelerate analysis, content, or delivery
