Position Summary:
This position is responsible for reviewing the daily work of the Accounting representatives – Non-Gaming to ensure accuracy, completeness and compliance with casino rules and regulations.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities : includes but not limited to:
Reviews, forecasts and reports related Non-Gaming revenue and expenses
Creates journal entries, as needed
Assists with the supervision, development and coaching of the Non-Gaming Accounting Representatives ensuring accurate and timely completion of assignments
Maintains balance sheet reconciliations for assigned accounts
Maintains statistical records of assigned areas
Responsible for the timely and accurate posting of comp adjustments
Leads and participates in physical inventories
Assists the Senior Accountants in the preparation of month-end closing packages
Compiles payment requests for tenants
Secondary Duties and Responsibilities:
Participates in the development and enforcement or departmental procedures, standards and controls
Assists in the distribution of comp reports
Minimum Education and Qualifications:
Bachelors’ Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
One year of Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment
In lieu of a Degree and previously mentioned experience, one years of Accounting experience in a computerized accounting environment may be considered
Competencies : Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills
Intermediate knowledge of Word , Excel and Outlook
Ability to review and comprehend lease agreements
Strong attention to detail
Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Training Requirements:
Knowledge of Mohegan Sun corporate and department policies and procedures
Must complete all appropriate Human Resources Supervisor Training Course s
Knowledge of Infinium , ACSC, LMS, RPOS, Cognos, Shift 4, Net Vuepoint and Infinium software
Physical Demands and Work Environment:
Office work environment
Must be able to sit in front of a computer screen for extended periods of time
Must be able to stand for extended periods of time with frequent bending and lifting during physical inventories
Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs
Must be able to work various shifts and flexible hours
