Summary
Accounting Manager
Advantage Solutions is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead a next generation, AI augmented accounting function. The Accounting Manager is a key leadership role within the controllership organization responsible for overseeing assigned accounting functions and ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial reporting in accordance with accounting standards and company policies. This role leads close processes while managing accounting professionals and automated workflows across systems, driving process improvements and strengthening internal controls. The position also oversees billing operations to ensure revenue is properly recognized and invoices are issued accurately and on time.

Responsibilities
Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes ensuring accurate financial reporting through use of automated workflows and system integrations
Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and billing outputs while validating accuracy of automated processes and ensuring timely invoicing
Identify and implement process improvement and automation opportunities across accounting and billing functions
Partner with finance, operations, technology, and other stakeholders to resolve accounting issues and support business initiatives
Ensure effective design and execution of internal controls including compliance with audit and regulatory requirements
Lead and develop team members while building capability in automated and data driven workflows
Maintain and enforce accounting policies and procedures while ensuring consistent application across processes
Support talent development including hiring, onboarding, and training with focus on evolving skillsets and process improvement
Qualifications
Education Requirements: Bachelor’s degree
Experience Requirements: 6–8 years experience in relevant field (Accounting, controllership, or financial reporting experience preferred)
Travel requirement: No travel requirements
Supervisor Responsibility
Direct Reports: Hires, retains, trains, coaches, guides, directs, and develops direct reports using company-wide processes, tools and resources
Indirect Reports: May delegate work of others and provide guidance, direction and mentoring to indirect reports
Required Knowledge and Skills
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting requirements
Ability to manage close processes and financial reporting cycles
Strong analytical and problem solving skills
Experience improving processes and implementing automation solutions
Knowledge of internal controls and compliance requirements
Ability to collaborate across multiple business functions
Strong communication and leadership skills
Experience using financial systems and data tools
