Analytics Internship: Fall 2026

Overview River's Edge Insurance Solutions, a surplus lines insurance brokerage and managing general underwriter licensed in all 50 states, is looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Analytics Intern to assist with various administrative tasks in our Richmond, VA office. The ideal candidate for this role is a current college student or recent graduate who is eager to gain hands-on experience in a professional setting. You will provide essential support to our team, and have the opportunity to develop your skills and grow in a supportive and dynamic environment. In this role you will: Provide support to ensure deadlines are met, while maintaining a positive, collaborative work environment Assist in the analysis and assembly of reports, ensuring accuracy and timeliness Create, maintain, and enter information into spreadsheets, databases, and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software Utilize advanced Excel skills for data analysis, reporting, and visualization  Develop and implement Python scripts for web scraping and data extraction Support senior sales and business development personnel in creating and pitching sports-related promotions Assist with any overflow work What we’re looking for A current college student or recent college graduate to work in our Richmond, VA office at least 15 hours per week Proficient in Microsoft Excel at an advanced level, including functions, pivot tables, and data visualization Experience with Python for web scraping and data manipulation Strong communication skills (verbal and written) Ability to interact effectively with all levels of the organization Detail oriented; ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Must be a self starter, a quick learner, and resourceful in solving problems Visa sponsorship for work authorization is not available for this position now or in the future If you're a recruiting agency and want to partner with us, please reach out to [email protected].
