The Software Application Tools Portfolio Manager is crucial in executing the strategy, roadmap, and lifecycle of key internal software tools within Dematic’s SD&O organization. This role bridges business needs and technology implementation, ensuring that tools deliver value, align with enterprise strategy, and support the broader application portfolio objectives. We offer: Own   multiple software applications   that are   used by the business to   design, deploy, and manage our automated solutions.   Partner with development, hosting, and platform teams to ensure delivery and ongoing optimization of assigned tools (note:   these teams are outside of the Tools Portfolio Management Team )   Define   and maintain vision, strategy, and roadmaps   for application tools that   align s   with business objectives and the broader application portfolio strategy.   Conduct user research, gather stakeholder feedback, and monitor market trends to inform product decisions and prioritization.   Translate business needs into clear requirements; prioritize features based on value, impact, and feasibility.   Collaborate   with engineering, design,   solution development ,   IT , and   our internal development   teams to ensure cohesive development, delivery, and optimization.   Oversee the full lifecycle of assigned   application   tools   with focus on value delivery and operational efficiency.   Define   and maintain   KPIs, track adoption and tool effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement through data-informed decisions.   Support rationalization efforts in collaboration with the Integration Architect and Portfolio Director. Align tool investments to multi-year strategic plans.   Serve as the primary liaison for tool-specific updates, training coordination, and cross-functional alignment.   Tasks and Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Business , Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.   8- 10 + years in product or portfolio management, with a focus on enterprise software tools, SaaS platforms, or internal systems.   Solid   understanding of software development processes, system integration, and web technologies.   Experience   managing products through full lifecycle using Agile methodologies   is desired.   Skilled in connecting product decisions to business outcomes,   analyzing   data, and prioritizing features for impact.   Demonstrated ability to influence cross-functional teams and drive alignment without direct authority.   Strong   understanding   for users and experience shaping solutions based on real-world customer needs.   Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative approach to problem-solving.
