Automotive Technician C

Job Type: Full time   Exempt/Non Exempt: Hourly Job Description: Position Schedule / Shift:   Service center hours are Monday–Friday, 7:30 a.m.–6:00 p.m., and   Saturday,   8:00 a.m.–4:00 p.m. Schedule and shift assignments will depend on the position.   Position Summary :     As an Automotive   Technician C ,   you’ll   perform routine maintenance, basic repairs, and diagnostic work on a variety of vehicles, including diesel and hybrid models. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a commitment to quality workmanship. Working alongside experienced technicians,   you’ll   gain hands-on experience, develop your technical skills, and contribute to delivering safe, reliable vehicles and excellent customer service. This position offers opportunities for continued learning and career growth in a fast-paced automotive environment.   Key Responsibilities :   In an efficient and productive manner, performs basic automotive repairs, adjustments and maintenance procedures as outlined   on   repair order for which Technician is trained.   Drives vehicles into service bay, prepares them   for   and completes digital vehicle inspection.   Test drives vehicles and prepares   vehicle   for delivery to   customer   after necessary repairs and maintenance.   Maintains cleanliness of shop and work areas, performs other   duties   as necessary.   Qualifications :   Required   High School diploma, GED,   and/ or technical school graduate / certification    Must   possess   a valid driver’s license    Minimum of 6 months’ relevant experience in automotive repair or completion of a formal automotive training program.    Knowledge of automotive and/or truck systems, tools, and technical resources and training to independently perform a variety   of usually   basic repairs and maintenance of automobile and truck vehicles.    Understand and consistently   demonstrate   the proper use of equipment and tools used in such repair and maintenance, as well as the need to   maintain   a clean, safe, and organized work area.    Ability to consistently provide exceptional customer service and improve customer service score    Preferred   ASE Certifications (or  their equivalent ).  A4-Suspension & Steering, A5-Brakes    G1-Auto Maintenance & Light Repair preferred    State inspection certificate, where applicable    AC 609 Certification    Must have their own tools  appropriate for  their skill level for use in the Center.    Work Environment :    May experience loud noises and odors intermittently in the shop environment.    Compensation   & Benefits Overview :   ACG   complies with   all applicable state and local laws   regarding   required benefits (including PTO,   paid   sick leave,   etc.) .   Compensation   Technician Cs will earn a competitive hourly rate of $17.00 - $25.00.      Benefits   At ACG, we offer a comprehensive and flexible benefits package designed to support your health, financial well-being, and professional growth.   Health & Wellness   Medical plans with multiple coverage options, including HSA eligibility .   Prescription drug coverage .   Dental and vision benefits .   Employee Assistance Program (confidential support services) .   Financial Protection & Insurance   Company-paid basic life insurance .   Optional supplemental life insurance and dependent coverage .   Short-term and long-term disability coverage .   Critical illness, accident, and pet insurance options .   Retirement & Savings   401(k) plan to support long-term financial goals .   3% automatic deferral upon   eligibility;   may contribute 1% to 50% of eligible earnings, either pre or post tax .   Company match of 50% paid on employee contributions up to 6% of pay, payable to employees following the end of the year; immediate vesting .   A dditional   company   contribution of   4% of pay   each pay   day   into   your account; 100% vested after three (3) years of service .   Health Savings Account (HSA) and Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) options .   Time Off & Leave   Paid Time Off (PTO): Accrual-based, increases with tenure, eligible at   90 days   of employment.   Full-time new employees will receive up to 12 PTO days annually; accrual based on start date and may include   additional   PTO based on role and/or state & local requirements.    Part-time employee PTO hours are calculated based upon the standard weekly hours the employee is scheduled to work and will   accrue   at a minimum of 3 hours per month.   Paid Holidays:    Full-time employees are eligible for 10 company-paid holidays annually, in addition to 1 mental health day, 2 floating   holidays   and 1 volunteer day.
