Location: Salt Lake City, Utah Snowbird is situated in the middle of the Wasatch Mountain Range and is not only home to awe-inspiring views and mighty terrain, it is also home to employees equally as remarkable. TITLE:                         Banquet Operations Set Up Crew    LOCATION:          Snowbird   STATUS:                   On call   SCHEDULE:          Varies – early mornings, late evenings,   weekends   and holidays   This is a seasonal position ( May – October ). Shifts available are primarily on weekends . Position is on call (10-20 hours per week) with opportunity for more hours , depending on business levels.   Possibility for shifts that can be added and/or dropped at the last minute.  Banquet functions can change at any time due to guest requests.   SUMMARY   As a Banquet Operations Set Up Crew member you will   be responsible for   the setting up of all events and cleanliness of event spaces according to banquet event orders and conference operations standards.   WHAT YOU’LL DO   Work with a team, managed by a lead, each shift to complete a task list of projects necessary for success of upcoming banquets    Set up and tear down for all events (moving and setting chairs, tables, linens)   in accordance with   the banquet event order   Maintain a high standard of cleanliness and organization across events, back of house hallways, and storage spaces to ensure that all areas are conducive to productivity and presentable ( i.e.   vacuuming, dusting, wiping tables, taking out trash, organizing).   Maintain all equipment ( i.e.   fixing vacuums, tables, chairs)   Complete all tasks within Snowbird’s health and safety guidelines.   WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE   Must be at least 18 years of age.   High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.   0-6 months of job-specific work experience with   demonstrated   competence.   Proven ability to   maintain   an organized and efficient workspace   Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment   Ability to work well within a team and be self-motivated   Strong attention to detail and cleanliness   WORK SCHEDULE   Shifts vary,   maybe early   morning or late evening, weekends, holidays, depending on business levels. Examples of shifts may include 5:30 am – 1 pm and 4 pm – 2 am.       Scheduling is based on business demands.  Shifts available are primarily on weekends. WORKING CONDITIONS   Must   be prepared to stay overnight, if necessary,   on   occasional   times of road   closures.   May experience unusual stress from continual work with public, winter conditions, snow night requirements and commuting to/from Snowbird.   Must be able to lift   5 0 lbs.   Must be able to stand for   long periods   of time.   Must be able to walk   5 ,000 plus steps per day at 8,000 to   11,000 feet   of altitude.   Work may be outdoors and may require exposure to cold or heat and other extreme weather conditions.   Other/Additional: Stress may occur for several reasons: Quick turns in meeting rooms, client’s request to change previously agreed upon room set, large physical demand, constantly changing environment, deadlines of events, attention to detail indoors and out.   WHY WORK HERE   Ski pass and comp ticket benefits   Discounts at Snowbird eateries, retail shops, mountain school,   lodging   and daycare for employees   401k   Discounts with   Powdr   partners   Free transportation to work: UTA Bus, Rideshare Vans, and Employee Blue Shuttles   This job description is not intended to be an exhaustive list of all duties, responsibilities, or qualifications associated with the role.
