Support in engineering and test activities related to battery safety testing.
Key activities:
Test planning and execution
Real-time data acquisition and instrumentation: Vector tools (CAN), ETAS INCA (Monitoring), FLIR and AXIS (Cameras) and operation of power supply units
Familiarity with quality protocols, testing procedures and checklists to ensure compliance with safety and quality requirements.
Hazard identification and risk assessment
Technical reporting and customer communication
Adaptions of test facility to new regulations.
Profile
Degree in electronic, electrical or industrial engineering.
Good understanding in electric & electronics and communication protocols.
Basic knowledge with usage of measurement devices.
Analytic and repair skills, technical curiosity.
Problem solver mentality.
Appreciated competences:
Lithium-ion battery safety testing
Thermal runaway characterization and propagation analysis
Mechanical abuse testing (impact, crush, penetration)
Electrical abuse testing (overcharge, short circuit, over-discharge)
Root cause and failure analysis
International standards compliance (UN 38.3, IEC, ISO, SAE, ECE R100, GB38031)
Education
Degree in electrical, electronics or industrial engineering, robotics, automation or similar.
Languages
Fluent in English.
German would be appreciated
