Job Title: Behavioral Health Technician Location: Saint Charles, Missouri
Department: Recovery Services
Employment Type: Part-Time
Shift: Overnight – Weekends
Weekend Overnight Shift Differential: Associates working the overnight weekend shift receive an additional $2.50 per hour shift differential above the base hourly rate of $17 per hour. Overnight weekend hours worked would be paid at $19.50 per hour (base + shift differential).

The Behavioral Health Technician position provides direct care, supervision, and support to clients during overnight hours in a residential recovery environment. You will help maintain a safe, structured, and therapeutic setting while monitoring client wellbeing, responding to needs and concerns, supporting program operations, and communicating important observations to the treatment team. Key Responsibilities: • Monitor clients throughout overnight hours to maintain a safe, secure, and recovery-focused environment
• Support clients with overnight needs while providing respectful, therapeutic interactions that promote dignity and recovery
• Observe client behaviors, strengths, needs, and progress and communicate relevant information to the treatment team
• Respond appropriately to client concerns, emergencies, and crisis situations in accordance with program procedures
• Conduct regular room, safety, and wellness checks to ensure program standards and client wellbeing
• Assist with overnight admissions, including safety searches, intake procedures, obtaining vital signs when applicable, and collecting specimens according to established protocols
• Document client activities, observations, incidents, and interventions accurately and in a timely manner
• Maintain compliance with program rules, organizational policies, and safety procedures
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other treatment team members to support medication procedures and client care needs
• Provide transportation support for clients when required, including overnight and early morning transportation needs
• Communicate overnight updates, concerns, and observations to supervisors and day staff to promote continuity of care
• Perform additional responsibilities and support program operations as assigned
Education, Experience, and/or Credential Qualifications: • High School diploma or equivalent required
• Minimum of two (2) years of responsible employment required
• Experience in Human Services, Behavioral Health, Recovery Services, Substance Use Treatment, Healthcare, Social Services, or a related field preferred
• Strong ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with supervisors and treatment team members
• Exceptions to qualifications may be approved by an Executive Team member

• Strong observation, communication, and documentation skills
• Demonstrated reliability, accountability, and professionalism
• Ability to establish and maintain positive working relationships with clients, staff, and community partners
• Commitment to supporting recovery-oriented and person-centered care
• Ability to follow policies, procedures, and confidentiality requirements
• Willingness to work overnight, weekend, and holiday schedules as required
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, and current auto insurance may be required for transportation responsibilities
• Ability to safely transport clients in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
