Position Overview :
As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club team, you will ensure a clean and professional appearance and presentation of all new and used boats on display, as well as sold boats to prep them for delivery and serviced boats to prep them to return to a customer or the Boat Club fleet. This role involves working on both the interior and exterior of boats to ensure they meet high standards of cleanliness and presentation. The Boat Detailer must have a keen eye for detail, strong technical skills, and the ability to communicate effectively as a team.

Essential Functions:
Follow all safety precautions and procedures at all times
Responsible for checking cleanliness of all service boats, covers installed properly and ready for pick up
Clean new, used and customer boats
Polish and wax boats as necessary or as instructed by manager
Maintain all clean-up areas daily
Report all low inventory or shortages of clean-up products
Ensure all equipment is returned to appropriate place after use
Ensure all equipment is in good working condition at all times
Report all damaged or malfunctioning equipment to department head
Report any fading gelcoat, cracks, holes or other defects to service manager
Attend department meetings as required
Perform other related duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
Pass a background check and drug screen
Have a valid driver’s license and a good driving record
Be at least 18 years of age
Ability to regularly complete the physical demands of the role including ascending and descending a ladder, working in confined spaces and lifting up to 50 pounds
Ability to adhere to all safety policies
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with cleaning and maintaining boat interiors, including upholstery, carpets, and electronics
Familiarity with different types of boats and their specific cleaning and maintenance requirements
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate with fellow teammates and members
Experience seeking out new and better ways of accomplishing duties
Working Conditions:
Ability to work in proximity with other team members in fiberglass surroundings.
Work in different environments, including outdoor settings, and adapt to varying weather conditions and project requirements.
Exposure encountered, such as hazardous materials, loud noise, or extreme heat.
Constantly ascending and descending in and out of boats during detailing.
Physical effort/moving up to 50 pounds.
The anticipated pay range for this position is $22 - $24 per hour . The actual base pay offered will vary depending on multiple factors including job-related knowledge/skills, relevant experience, business needs, and geographic location.
At Brunswick, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top end of the salary range for their role. Compensation decisions are dependent upon the specifics of the candidate’s qualifications and the business context.
