About the role
As a Business Systems Analyst on Anthropic's BizTech team, you'll play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. You'll translate complex business requirements into technical specifications and architectural decisions, ensuring engineering teams build solutions that scale with our rapid growth. You'll work closely with stakeholders across the organization to understand their requirements, configure systems, and ensure our business technology ecosystem operates efficiently and effectively. This role combines analytical thinking with technical expertise to design, implement, and maintain systems that drive operational excellence.
You'll be responsible for analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and translating them into technical solutions. As we continue to scale rapidly, you'll help ensure our systems and processes evolve to meet the growing demands of our organization while maintaining the high standards of efficiency and reliability that Anthropic requires.
Responsibilities
Drive end-to-end delivery of technical projects from conception through launch
Configure and customize business systems to meet specific organizational needs, including user permissions, workflows, and integrations
Manage technical vendor evaluation for business applications, including contract negotiations, service level agreements, and ongoing vendor performance assessment
Create and maintain comprehensive system documentation, including process flows, user guides, configuration specifications, and technical documentation
Lead knowledge management initiatives to ensure institutional knowledge is captured, organized, and accessible to all team members
Own technical risk assessment and mitigation strategies
Analyze current business processes and identify opportunities for automation and optimization
Act as a liaison between technical teams and business users, translating complex technical concepts into user-friendly language
Conduct system testing, validation, and user acceptance testing for new implementations and updates
Provide ongoing support and training to end-users across the organization
Monitor system performance and usage metrics to identify areas for improvement
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure business systems integrate seamlessly with other platforms
Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices in business systems management
You may be a good fit if you:
Have 5+ years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst or similar role in a technology-focused environment
Possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to break down complex business processes
Have experience with systems configuration and customization across various business applications
Are skilled at requirements gathering and translating business needs into technical specifications
Excel at documentation creation and maintenance, with exceptional attention to detail
Have experience managing vendor relationships and evaluating technology solutions
Are an effective communicator who can bridge the gap between technical and non-technical stakeholders
Thrive in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities and requirements
Have experience with API integrations and iPaaS solutions
Have a passion for process improvement and automation
Are proactive and self-directed with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
Care about the societal impacts of your work and are excited about contributing to AI safety
Strong candidates may also:
Have experience with enterprise level business systems
Have knowledge of database management and SQL
Have experience with project management methodologies (Agile, Scrum, etc.)
Have certifications in relevant business systems or project management
Have experience with business intelligence and reporting tools
Have worked in high-growth startup environments
Have knowledge of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks
Have experience implementing knowledge management systems or intranets

The annual compensation range for this role is listed below.
For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings ("OTE") range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role.
Annual Salary: $205,000 — $270,000 USD Logistics
Minimum education: Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education, training, and/or experience
Required field of study: A field relevant to the role as demonstrated through coursework, training, or professional experience
Minimum years of experience: Years of experience required will correlate with the internal job level requirements for the position
Location-based hybrid policy: Currently, we expect all staff to be in one of our offices at least 25% of the time. However, some roles may require more time in our offices.
