Position Title Cardiology Physician - Electrophysiology Job Description Summary VHC Health is seeking a Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Cardiac Electrophysiologist to join our established and growing cardiovascular program at the main hospital campus in Arlington, Virginia. This is a full-time, employed attending physician position offering the opportunity to practice high-quality, patient-centered electrophysiology within a collaborative, community-based health system in Northern Virginia. Position Overview The selected physician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient cardiac electrophysiology services , including evaluation and management of patients with complex cardiac arrhythmias. The Electrophysiologist will work closely with general cardiology, interventional cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery, advanced practice providers, nursing, and cardiovascular support teams to deliver coordinated, evidence-based care. This role offers a balanced mix of procedural and clinical care in a modern cardiovascular program with strong institutional support. Clinical Responsibilities * Evaluate and manage patients with atrial fibrillation, supraventricular tachycardia, ventricular arrhythmias, syncope, and conduction disorders* Perform diagnostic electrophysiology studies and catheter ablation procedures for atrial and ventricular arrhythmias* Implant and manage cardiac implantable electronic devices, including pacemakers, ICDs, and cardiac resynchronization therapy (CRT) devices* Provide outpatient electrophysiology consultations and longitudinal follow-up care* Perform inpatient electrophysiology consultations and procedural care as needed* Interpret ambulatory monitoring studies and device interrogations* Participate in shared call coverage with cardiology and electrophysiology colleagues* Document all clinical care in the electronic medical record and adhere to best practice guidelines Qualifications * MD or DO from an accredited medical school* Completion of an ACGME-accredited Cardiology fellowship * Completion of an ACGME-accredited Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology fellowship * Board Certified or Board Eligible in Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology* Eligible for unrestricted Virginia medical licensure* Strong clinical skills with a patient-centered and team-oriented approach Position Highlights * Full-time attending physician role (non-leadership)* Established and growing cardiovascular and electrophysiology program* Mix of inpatient and outpatient clinical and procedural responsibilities* Collaborative cardiology team with strong referral base* Modern facilities and access to advanced cardiovascular technology* Employed position within an independent, high-performing health system Compensation & Benefits * Competitive salary with productivity and quality incentives* Comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage* Paid time off, CME allowance, and retirement plan options* Malpractice insurance with tail coverage* Relocation assistance may be available About VHC Health VHC Health is an independent, community-based health system recognized for its commitment to safety, quality, and patient-centered care.
