Primary Duties and Responsibilities : includes but not limited to: Sets metal door frames and is responsible for all steel wall construction Constructs, laminates and installs cabinets Provides building maintenance and repair Performs finish work, such as installing interior and exterior trim Secondary Duties and Responsibilities: Provides general building repair and maintenance Responsible for all department logs and labor recording pertinent to the day-to-day job duties Maintains a clean and safe work environment Minimum Education and Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent Four years of commercial carpentry experience Thorough knowledge of all phases of cabinet construction and lamination Must be familiar with the safe and effective use of all types of power tools Must have experience with setting metal door frames and steel wall construction Competencies :  Incumbent will master the following competencies while in this position: . Basic knowledge of the safe and effective use of all types of power tools Ability to interpret and follow carpentry instructions and specifications such as blueprints, manuals, sketches and work orders Measures  and accurately calculates dimensions Training Requirements: Respirator training and fit tested Man lift training (scissor and boom lift) Forklift training Fall training Physical Demands and Work Environment: Must be able to work in a smoking environment as well as various weather conditions including extreme hot and cold Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
