Certified Medical Assistant

Overview Shift’s Available:   Days  Employment Type:  Full Time  Hours:  8:00am to 4:30pm   Location: Dallas Regional Medical Center - Mesquite, TX Here are some of the benefits of working at Prime Healthcare:   Health, dental, and vision insurance options  Paid vacation, sick time and holidays  Bereavement leave, FMLA and other leave options  Employer 401K options  Tuition reimbursement options   Life, disability, and other insurance options  Many other amazing benefits  Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):   Greet and prepare patients for orthopedic examinations and procedures  Record patient history, vital signs, and orthopedic-specific information  Instruct patients on pre-operative (pre-op) and post-operative (post-op) care and medication regimens  Help in orthopedic procedures, including bandaging, splinting, and wound care  Facilitate diagnostic tests, imaging tests (e.g., X-rays, MRIs) and ensure accurate documentation of results  Prepare and maintain examination rooms, including sterilization and inventory management of medical supplies and equipment  Schedule patient appointments, manage charts, and update (Electronic Medical Records) EHR systems with patient information  Qualifications Before we go any further, we do have some deal-breakers. You must have:   Medical Assistant School or Vocational Training. Minimum one year work experience in public contact job. Work experience in health care preferred. Medical Assistant Certification.
