Certified Pharmacy Technician Sr

Position Overview Department: Pharmacy Schedule: Monday - Friday; 8am - 5pm Work Location: UAB St.Vincent's Blount  Benefits for eligible positions only include: generous paid time off, paid parental leave, Associate Assistance Program, Tuition Reimbursement Program, and more  What You Will Do Perform advanced pharmacy technician duties and participates in quality and performance improvementinitiatives. Acquires clinical data to support Pharmacists. Coordinates special projects. Responsible for auditing, quality assurance sign off with barcode scanning, controlled substance oversight, and billing including, Long Term Care (LTC) billing and Medicare D claim adjudication. Serves as a resource for automation technology, training & involvement with IV workflow, carousels, Pyxis, automated dispensing cabinets, troubleshooting, compounding, and robotics. Provides advanced cross-training for dedicated buyers, staff, operating room satellite, and retail. May monitor compliance with regulatory standards and be responsible for inventory and drug shortage management and optimization. What You Will Need Licensure / Certification / Registration: Currently registered as a pharmacy technician by the Alabama Board of Pharmacy (ALBOP) required. Active registration will be required prior to date of hire. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
