Overview Registered Nurse, Float Pool Full Time, 72 Hours Per Pay Period, Day Shift Fort Loudoun Overview:   Fort Loudoun Medical Center, part of Covenant Health, is an 87,000-square-foot hospital serving Loudon County and surrounding communities. Featuring private patient rooms and comprehensive services such as emergency care, surgery, and specialized treatments, our dedicated team of physicians, staff, and volunteers is committed to providing excellent care to every patient, every time.  Position Summary: Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. Responsibilities Correlates patient history and support systems across continuum of care. Completes nursing history and initiates patient education. Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams making recommendations to facilitate patient care. Implements plan of care appropriate to diagnosis and patient needs. Evaluates outcomes. Resolves issues regarding moderately complex issues without oversight or supervision. Supports Clin Nurse III/Clinical Coach in orienting/precepting new employees and students as directed. Demonstrates active participation in unit and/or facility activities that facilitate achievement of department/facility goals and quality initiatives. Demonstrates competence in performing critical skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the age specific needs of the population served. Supervises LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters. Follows policies, procedures, and safety standards. Completes required education assignments annually. Works toward achieving goals and objectives, and participates in quality improvement initiatives as requested. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum Education:           None specified; however, must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority. Minimum Experience:           Must possess at least one (1) year of professional nursing experience. Licensure Requirement:                    Must have and maintain Tennessee State nursing license. CPR required.
