Overview
Piedmont Rockdale is a 161-bed, acute care, not-for-profit community hospital in Conyers that has provided compassionate, patient-centered care to Rockdale County and surrounding communities since 1954. We offer 24-hour emergency care, plus most major medical, surgical and diagnostic services.
Wound care experience needed. Board certification in wound care needed. Primary focus in patient care.
Responsibilities Coordinates, updates, and revises the clinical education program. Providing competency assessments and educational/training sessions for staff as well as establishing best practice protocols. Having a working knowledge of all aspects of procedures for their specific discipline, as well as policies related to reimbursement. Serving on committees for program planning. Providing care for a designated group of patients, including evaluations, modalities, and treatments. Responsible for the care of patients treated by therapist assistants, technicians, students, and observers. Responsible for orientation and ongoing guidance of assigned staff.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s Degree minimum for Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapist or RN. Required
Master’s degree minimum for Speech Language Pathologists from a recognized college or university.
Work Experience
2 years previous healthcare experience preferred in a hospital setting Required
Experience with research and analysis of data Preferred
Licenses and Certifications
Current licensure in the State of Georgia in applicable field of study Upon Hire Required
BCLS - Basic Life Support through AHA Upon Hire Required
