Our mission is to revolutionize patient care globally through transformational, accessible, clinically relevant diagnostic imaging.  Learn More About The Role Job Title : Clinical Scientist  Location: Palo Alto, CA As a Clinical Scientist, you will support the Clinical Affairs team in executing clinical programs aligned with  Hyperfine’s  strategic priorities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams including imaging, regulatory, marketing, and external research sites to generate clinical evidence, enable research programs, and translate data into impactful outputs.   You will be responsible for contributing to clinical study design, supporting study execution, and extracting actionable insights from clinical data to inform publications and business strategy. You will collaborate with clinical partners to optimize imaging workflows and enable use cases across hospital, office-based, and international settings.   RESPONSIBILITIES:   Support the design and execution of clinical studies aligned with Hyperfine strategic priorities    Assist  in defining study  objectives , endpoints, and data strategies to support clinical evidence generation   Partner with clinical sites to enable research protocols and  optimize  imaging workflows     Support study startup activities, including IRB submissions and coordination with internal teams    Monitor study progress, track milestones, and support execution of research service agreements (RSAs)   Analyze clinical datasets and translate findings into publications, abstracts, and presentations   Collaborate with clinical partners to develop manuscripts and support dissemination of scientific outputs   Support engagement with external sites   and investigators  as the MRI expert  to align research efforts with company strategy   Work cross-functionally with marketing, regulatory, legal, and imaging teams to support clinical and business objectives    Contribute to partner-driven programs (e.g., externally funded collaborations) by tracking deliverables and  identifying  opportunities   KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL:   Strong understanding of clinical research processes and study design principles   Basic understanding of MRI physics, signal acquisition,  reconstruction  and image processing techniques   Ability to analyze and interpret clinical datasets and generate actionable insights   Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to contribute to scientific publications   Ability to translate clinical needs into research  objectives  and actionable deliverables   Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously   Ability to work collaboratively across cross-functional teams and external partners   Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving capabilities   Adaptability in a fast-paced, evolving clinical and technical environment   EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:   PhD  or equivalent  degree  in biomedical engineering, neuroscience, imaging science, or related field   2–5+ years of experience in clinical research, imaging, or data science  in industry setting   Experience working with MRI data and imaging datasets  required   Hands-on experience with image processing, analysis tools (e.g., Python, MATLAB, or similar) preferred   Experience contributing to clinical studies and publications preferred   PHYSICAL DEMANDS:   Ability to work on a computer for extended periods   Ability to travel occasionally to clinical sites   Ability to  operate  in a fast-paced work environment This is a hybrid position based out of Hyperfine's facility in Palo Alto, CA (minimum 3 days per week).  Travel up to 10 % of the time to customers, other Hyperfine offices, collaborators, conferences, etc. Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. We are unable to sponsor or take over sponsorship now or in the future of any employment Visa. The annual base salary for this position is between $134,000 - $155,000. This position is also eligible for to participate in Hyperfine's corporate bonus and equity plans. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate including skill set, relevant experience, qualifications, location, position level, and other job-related reasons.
