Summary: Develops programs to use on CMM for dimensional inspection of manufactured aerospace product. Use CMM and other Monitoring and Measuring Equipment (M&ME) to inspect product for dimensional conformance according to production schedule. Reads and interprets Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) data. Complies with internal quality system, business policies, and regulatory requirements; supports business goals and objectives. Duties and Responsibilities: • Reads and understands blueprints, travelers/routers, and work instructions including GD&T data on machine prints • Generating and troubleshoot CMM programs and prove-out of CMM programs using PCDMIS software. • Perform CMM inspections for final layout on components and analyze features to GD&T requirements. • Perform inspections as required using multiple measurement and monitoring equipment. • Works with CAD models. • Generate inspection reports and FAI reports. • Requires minimal supervision to support manufacturing needs. • Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications / Requirements: • Associates degree or more advanced degree in engineering or related technical field or 4 years progressive experience related to precision manufacturing and inspection • Ability to program and use CMM with PCDMIS software. • Experience with NXCMM programming. • Ability to use computer programs to create inspection reports. • Strong knowledge of GD&T and how to apply those requirements to create and inspect features. • Strong mathematical, analytical, writing and communication skills. • Proven history of completing paperwork accurately, legibly, and timely.
