Overview
The Community Development & Foundation Support Specialist will assist the Executive Officer or Senior Leadership in managing operational and programmatic support to ensure the effective management of activities guiding the not-for-profit Renasant Community Foundation. This role serves as a key liaison between the Foundation Board of Directors, donors, grant recipients, community partners and the Foundation Executive Director while supporting fund development, grantmaking, communications and special events.

Responsibilities
Manage calendars, meetings and correspondence for Foundation leadership
Prepare agendas, minutes, reports and Board materials as required
Maintain Foundation records, files, policies and other governance documents
Coordinate Board and committee meetings, including logistics and follow-up actions
Monitor data specific to Foundation growth, stewardship and impact measurement
Assist with grant application intake and review processes
Maintain grant databases and prepare grant status reports
Coordinate communications with grant applicants and recipients
Track grant deadlines, reporting requirements and compliance documentation
Support in the annual preparation and submission of Form 990
Coordinate with HR to maintain donor and stakeholder databases
Prepare donor acknowledgements, recognition materials, and stewardship communications.
Assist with sponsorship and partnership outreach
Coordinate with Senior Community Development & CSR Manager, bank sponsored and Re
Assist with newsletters, website updates and social media content for the Foundation
Perform other related duties as assigned
On a weekly basis, the Community Development and Foundation Support Specialist should dedicate sufficient time to manage the following efforts and report updates to the Community Affairs Director/Executive Director of the Foundation, Small Business and Community Development Officers, and Chief of Corporate Social Responsibility to ensure success:
Conduct research on industry developments and community relations and provide updates to management
Review Foundation requests and community related sponsorships
Provide timely completion of Board and committee support activities
Provide accurate maintenance of grant and donor records
Present successful execution of foundation events and programs as needed
Provide timely submission of reports and compliance documentation
Ensure effective support of fund development and community engagement goals
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree in a business related field preferred
Minimum of 4 years job related experience
Ability to operate a personal computer using Microsoft Word and Excel
Basic knowledge of Accounting to assist with the preparation of 990 Compliance documents
Knowledge of state and federal laws specific to non-profit organizations
Ability to deal tactfully and effectively with third party benefactors as well as fellow employees
Knowledge of all necessary computer applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to travel to various locations within the bank’s footprint of service
