Job Summary
Benjamin Moore’s Communications team plays a vital role in keeping employees and retailers informed, connected, and engaged. Reporting to the Communications Manager, the Communications Specialist position is ideal for a highly collaborative, self-motivated professional looking to help bring the company’s strategic core to life. With strong attention to detail and expertise across digital and social platforms, content management systems, and design software, this role will contribute to impactful communications that support the team’s overall effectiveness and reach.
Key Responsibilities
Execute campaigns to internal audiences via a multi-channel approach, including email/ newsletters, SMS, intranet, signage, social media, video, merch drops and live/ virtual events
Curate content to enhance our presence on LinkedIn, leveraging the platform as an employer branding tool
Develop creative and video that elevate communications
Continuously update and improve the company intranet
Coordinate within the team’s project management system/ content calendar to ensure the timely dissemination of information
Test and implement new tools, features and functionality across all devices
Create and maintain archives of all communication assets
Update distribution lists, ensuring the proper import and data flow between systems
Draft communications as requested, contributing to newsletter features as part of our brand journalism and storytelling strategy
Monitor two-way channels (e.g., employee intranet and Teams discussions, social), recommend new topics/ questions to pose and collaborate with colleagues to facilitate responses as needed
Partake in stakeholder meetings to understand the needs for upcoming projects, as well as team brainstorms for various engagement initiatives
Partner with the Facilities and PR teams to plan and execute employee events
Continuously explore the latest trends, tools and best practices in digital communications and content management; offer and implement new ideas
Track metrics to help drive improvements and overall communications goals
Required Skills
BA/BS/BFA in Communications, Digital Marketing, IT or related major/ 2-3 years related experience
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva and the fundamentals of CMS, SMS and email marketing
Excellent verbal + written communication skills
An eye for detail and accurate, high-quality work
Proactive, resourceful, creative and passionate about each project
Nimble in a fast-paced environment with strong organization and prioritization skills
Well versed in the latest digital communication trends, tools and best practices
Able to translate data/information into compelling, easy to understand messages and designs that effectively communicate ideas
Natural collaborator who can work comfortably across all levels of the organization
Enthusiastic about growth and developing new skills
Ability to adapt communication style and leverage current trends to effectively engage diverse audiences and support a dynamic workplace culture
Someone who maintains a positive outlook and vibes with the team
Physical Requirements
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 lbs. occasionally (e.g. files, boxes of documents).
Frequent use of hands and fingers for typing, writing, and handling documents.
Visual activity required for reviewing documents, spreadsheets, and computer screens.
Occasional standing, walking, and reaching within the office environment.

The salary range listed herein refers to the amount the Company is willing to pay at the time of posting. The actual salary offer will be carefully considered based on a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, job location, and other relevant factors.
