Concrete Block Machine Operator - Hudson, FL

Maschmeyer Concrete Company of Florida is currently seeking a highly-motivated and dependable Concrete Block Machine Operator to join our team at Concrete Block Production Plants in major cities throughout Florida.      The Machine Operator is responsible for the operation of block machinery to produce concrete block and building materials in a safe and efficient manner to meet customer demand.   Concrete Block Machine Operators Skills & Abilities   General mechanical experience (ex. auto, machinery, heavy equip )   Experience operating production machinery and performing plant maintenance; preferred   Experience leading small teams; preferred   Experience with a Besser V312, preferred   Effective communication skills   Ability to manage time and prioritize tasks with little supervision   Full availability required - 24/7 production facility.   Concrete Block Machine Operators Tasks & Responsibilities   Ability to operate block machine to produce concrete block and building materials in an efficient and safe manner   Change molds and monitor material levels to meet inventory needs   Inspect produced block and building materials for quality standards and inconsistencies   Make adjustments to maintain product quality when necessary   Lead and motivate team to perform work-stoppage machine repairs with a sense of urgency   Perform preventative maintenance on production equipment to minimize equipment downtime and maximize productivity.   Ability to troubleshoot basic mechanical issues and escalate when required   Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols and procedures.   Assist team with plant cleanliness   Benefits Include:   Competitive hourly rate of pay with overtime   Medical, Dental, Vision insurance, in addition to Company- Paid Basic Life Insurance & Long-Term Disability    401K with Company Match    8 Paid Holidays a Year & Weekly Accrued Paid Time Off (PTO)   Celebrating over 30 years in Florida, Maschmeyer Concrete has become one of the leading privately-held , family-oriented ready-mix concrete and building materials suppliers in the state of Florida.
