Idaho Power, located in the vibrant community of Boise, Idaho, is seeking a motivated Contracting Agent to join our Supply Chain Procurement team. It’s an exciting time to work for Idaho Power. What does a Contracting Agent do for us?
The Contracting Agent works independently and with minimal guidance to lead stakeholders in the development of internal customer materials and service contracts of significant risk and/or complexity. They lead the competitive bidding process, negotiations, and prepare comprehensive contract documents. The Contracting Agent will meet business unit cost objectives with a focus on delivering the best value to Idaho Power.

A COMPETETIVE CANDIDATE WILL HAVE

Contracting practices, terms, and conditions
Developing and writing a statement of work
Negotiation techniques and supplier management practices
Competitive bidding processes
Contracting strategies and principles for a wide range of service/goods industries
ERP and EAM systems

May be required to work extended hours in the event of large emergencies, i.e. fires, outages, etc.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Education:
Bachelor's degree
OR
An equivalent combination of education and experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain or related field
Experience:
4 or more years related work experience
Licenses & Certifications:
Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record based on driving requirements for the position
Preferred:
Industry recognized certifications
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires working at a desk/computer for extended periods of time. It requires the use of office equipment, fine motor skills including typing on the computer, dialing phones, filing paper, and working in close proximity to other people.
