JOB SUMMARY   Our cooks are responsible for providing exceptional service and nutritional food to our campers, guests, and staff. Would be required to use a variety of industrial kitchen appliances to prepare foods. Must be able to follow basic instruction and multi-task to prepare the proper amount of food in a timely manner and properly clean the kitchen area after service.     Kitchen - Main food service area for campers breakfast, lunch and dinner throughout the week    Burger Grill - Secondary food service area service burgers and hot dogs for lunch and dinner throughout the week    The Canteen - Quick service space at the central hub of campus (pizza, ice cream, etc.)    The Grind- Coffee service    WHAT'S IN IT FOR YOU?   Summer Season: 3 Meals Daily and Employee Housing Available.    Access to our world-class facilities. You will work and play in the same innovative environments as professional and Olympic athletes.   Discounts on food, retail and gear.     Career Development and growth opportunities here and at our facilities across the globe.   A connection with people who share the same passions and embrace each other’s unique and individual styles.     ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES   Plan and execute daily production of all menu items for meals     Prepare all food items according to predetermined recipes     Ensure ingredients and final products are fresh     Follow recipes, including measuring, weighing and mixing ingredients     Occasionally serve food     Maintain a clean and safe work area, including handling utensils, equipment and dishes     Keeps the food service area organized and clean, both the front and back of house     Replenish   any supplies of items as needed     Assist with ensuring that all deliveries are properly received and stored     Meet needs of guests and address any dietary needs as directed     Operate in a fast-paced environment serving our guests     Ensure that all dishwashing areas are clean, organized and maintained throughout the day     Report a ny and all safety and maintenance concerns to supervisor     Operates all kitchen equipment in accordance with the prescribed manner     Other duties as assigned.   SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES   +/- 5 Staff   KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES   Strong understanding of good food safety practices     Strong cooking ability, with understanding of all basic cooking techniques     Ability to use basic kitchen utensils and equipment     Ability to follow recipes and use basic math to determine preparation quantities     Ability to remain calm under pressure and meet deadlines     Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with moderate supervision, agile, and able to pivot quickly     Exhibits initiative, responsibility, and accountability     Strong attention to detail     Comfortable handling confidential information      Successful working in an independent and team environment     Be punctual and prepared to greet and serve guests in a cordial, professional manner with a smile and positive attitude     Ability to develop strong relationships with diverse groups of people     Comfortability in interacting with kids aged 7-17      QUALIFICATIONS   Required Qualifications   2+yrs Food and Beverage Experience      Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background chec ks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child abuse clearance throu gh the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position  and federal background screening via FBI fin gerprinting   Provide work related references upon request     Employment in this position is contingent upon successful completion of all pre-hire background checks, including criminal history clearance through the Pennsylvania State Police (PATCH), child   abuse clearance throu gh the Department of Public Welfare, Motor Vehicle Record if required by position    and federal background screening via FBI fin gerprinting   PRE-REQUISITES   Must have or be able to obtain the following prior to starting work:   Woodward will supply information to assist you in obtaining these if needed.     Mandated Reporter Training Certificate   Safesport Training Certificate   PHYSICAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS   Physical Capabilities: bend, twist, push, pull, stand, lift 50 lbs.     Must be comfortable working in an outdoor and indoor all-season environment.     Adhere to all workplace safety practices, expectations, and guidelines.     Primary on-site work location: Woodward, PA   PREFERRED COMMITMENT   Summer Camp   You make us Woodward.
