HOW YOU’LL MAKE AN IMPACT: This role reports to the Sr. Creative Director and is based in our Buckhead office on site 4 days/week.   The Copy Manager leads the voice of the brand across all channels, shaping how Carter’s shows up in the world through clear, compelling, and strategically grounded storytelling. This role goes beyond execution—partnering closely with Marketing and Creative leadership to define messaging frameworks, develop campaign concepts, and elevate the role of copy in driving brand and business impact. 65%: Brand voice leadership, campaign concepting, and strategic storytelling  Own and evolve the Carter’s brand voice across all touchpoints, ensuring consistency, clarity, and emotional resonance  Work closely with Marketing partners and Creative Director to develop campaign platforms, messaging frameworks, and seasonal narratives  Lead copy development for major brand and product stories, from early concept through final execution  Translate business and marketing objectives into clear, differentiated messaging strategies that drive engagement and conversion  Bring a strong point of view to creative development, contributing ideas that shape not just what we say, but how campaigns come to life  Ensure copy elevates the brand, balancing storytelling with performance and clarity 20%: Team leadership and cross-functional collaboration Lead and mentor copywriters, providing clear direction, actionable feedback, and ongoing development support  Establish workflows and standards that improve quality, consistency, and efficiency of copy output  Collaborate closely with design, marketing, merchandising, and channel teams to create cohesive, integrated experiences  Act as the primary copy voice in cross-functional settings, confidently presenting work and influencing stakeholders 15%: Executional excellence and process optimization Oversee and contribute to copy execution across channels (site, email, app, campaigns), ensuring accuracy and alignment to strategy  Maintain and evolve copy guidelines, tools, and documentation to support scalable, high-quality output  Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve speed without sacrificing quality WE’D LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU IF: Must have: Strong portfolio demonstrating elevated brand storytelling, campaign concepting, and multi-channel thinking  Proven ability to lead at both the strategic and executional level, shaping messaging frameworks while maintaining a high bar for copy craft  Deep understanding of how copy drives impact across digital channels within a cohesive brand ecosystem  Strong cross-functional leader with a track record of influencing creative and marketing partners at a senior level  Clear, persuasive communicator with the ability to present, defend, and align stakeholders around creative ideas and direction  Highly organized and detail-oriented, with strong prioritization skills and a proactive, self-directed approach Hands-on, solutions-oriented leader who can seamlessly move between concept, execution, and problem-solving Demonstrated ability to manage complexity, balance competing priorities, and deliver high-quality work within tight timelines  Commitment to continuously elevating creative quality, team output, and operational processes  Preferred skills and experience: 8+ years of experience in copywriting Experience leading and developing writers, with a clear, supportive, and accountable management style  Some basic knowledge of Figma and the Adobe Creative Suite is a plus, though not required MAKE A CAREER AT CARTER’S:  Career Development: Success starts from within, and we have several paths from which you can choose to enhance your career evolution.
