Description of Work This position is located at Dan River Prison Work Farm, Caswell, NC. Dan River Prison Work Farm is a minimum-custody prison housing male offender. The largest offender population consists of minimum custody offenders. Reporting to Programs Supervisor I, employees in this class provide programs for the rehabilitation of offenders in the prison system. Responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to the following: Key Duties Included: - Developing case plans, answering and following up on offender questions and problems, and making recommendations to the classification committee. - Assisting in major dynamic programs or coordinating major or specialized programs for the rehabilitation of offenders, such as offender work assignments, work release, education, or recreation as well as transition planning and coordinating. -Plan and coordinate transition (re-entry) prior to parole or release into the community. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Salary Range: $37,377.00 - $65,408.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement.
