Description of Work The primary purpose of this position is to evaluate residents through comprehensive, individualized, and discipline-specific assessments. The Creative/Expressive Arts Therapist will develop and implement therapeutic programs, techniques, and interventions that utilize the four core expressive modalities—movement, drama, visual arts, and music—to enhance residents' overall quality of life. This role involves facilitating both individual and group therapy sessions tailored to meet the emotional, cognitive, and psychosocial needs of residents. The therapist will collaborate with the interdisciplinary care team, presenting assessment findings and progress reports to support the development and execution of effective care plans. Knowledge Skills and Abilities/Management Preferences Recruitment Range: $41,857.00 - $62,786.00 Candidates now meet the minimum qualifications of a position if they meet the minimum education and experience listed on the vacancy announcement. Applicants who possess the following skills are preferred: Demonstrated knowledge of the therapeutic creative/expressive arts principles, techniques and methods. Demonstrated experience designing, planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating creative/expressive arts programs. Shift Hours: 1st shift hours - Monday - Friday with an occasional weekend/evening About Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center: Black Mountain Neuro-Medical Treatment Center is one of three state operated facilities serving adults with chronic and complex medical conditions that co-exist with neurodevelopmental or neurocognitive disorders often related to a diagnosis of severe and persistent mental illness or intellectual disability.  The health and physical status of these residents require 24-hour supervision, daily nursing care, and assistance with activities of daily living.
