FTE 0.6 Scheduled Bi-Weekly Hours 48 Work Shift Evening: 8 hours Job Description Collaborates with other members of the healthcare team to promote optimum imaging procedures.  Provides imaging services as defined by Title 17 (Radiologic Health Branch) and Title 22 (Department of Health Services) for the State of California.  Applying the principles in assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating and modifying patient imaging care as an active, continuous process. Schedule will require rotation for weekend, holiday and call coverage, which may also include rotation to other campus. CT Techs perform Diagnostic X-ray based on departmental needs. For the Los Gatos campus only: Because the hospital is recognized by the Santa Clara County EMS Stroke Care System as a Designated Primary Stroke Center (PSC) (at the Los Gatos Campus only), the CT Tech may not always be relieved of all duty during a 30-minute meal period. When this occurs, the meal period shall be considered an “on duty” meal period and counted as time worked. An “on duty” meal period shall be permitted only when the nature of the work prevents an employee from being relieved of all duty and when by written agreement between the parties an on-the-job paid meal period is agreed to. The written agreement shall state that the employee may revoke the agreement at any time in writing. Key Responsibilities Perform routine CT exams Ensure patient safety, contrast administration protocols, and radiation dose optimization Maintain equipment and follow department imaging protocols Participate in survey readiness and support inspection/accreditation activities Develop efficiency in scanning and workflow Demonstrate and maintain competency in all equipment and procedures at this level Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program Associate degree required License/Certification/Registration Requirements Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists in Radiography ARRT(R) and upon hire or within 9 months of hire, registered in Computed Tomography ARRT(CT) Current California CRT Certificate Current California Fluoroscopy Certificate Certification in Venipuncture BLS Certificate Ages of Patients Served This position is responsible for the assessment, treatment and care of pediatric/adolescent adult and geriatric patients Salary Range: $70.82 - $89.91 USD Hour The Physical Requirements and Working Conditions of this job are available.  El Camino Health will provide reasonable accommodations to qualified individuals with a disability if that will allow them to perform the essential functions of a job unless doing so creates an undue hardship for the hospital, or causes a direct threat to these individuals or others in the workplace which cannot be eliminated by reasonable accommodation.
