OBJECTIVES: Provides strong global program management and matrixed leadership to global, cross-functional, cross-divisional teams to drive development and deliver results in early to late-phase major development and/or lifecycle management programs (including established/marketed products) to meet Takeda strategic objectives. Core responsibilities include: Providing strategic direction and matrixed leadership in translating the integrated Global Product Team (GPT) asset strategy into an efficiently executable plan; predicting and planning solutions to achieve program goals and objectives; driving clarity and removing barriers to ensure team success; interfacing with management and influencing decision-making, proactive management and mitigation of development risks, and supporting appropriate communication and interface with PRC governance. Able to maintain strong team cohesiveness and decision making even through controversial topics through strong strategic and change management abilities. Maintaining up-to-date and accurate key program information in PM business systems and processes including program timelines, team InterACT space and other systems as appropriate. Play a key role in ensuring team effectiveness, partnering with GPL and PMO function to administer team health checks to generate insights, plan & execute appropriate follow-up actions. Considered department wide PM SME, driving  cross-divisional  alignment and continuous improvement activities. Sought out for leadership of entreprise wide in initiatives and business/alliance opportunities. Mentors junior GPMs and functional members to enhance their knowedge and effectiveness. ACCOUNTABILITIES: Strategic Direction Partners with GPL to lead GPT or Joint Development Team (for partnered Alliance programs) to develop and maintain the asset strategy and corresponding operational development plans in conjuction with TAU and commercial strategy, lifecycle management requirements, and evidence generation/publication needs. Program Execution Drives delivery of critical path activities to progress asset development. Identifies ways to optimize program execution without compromise to patients or compliance. Program Operational Excellence Applies strong leadership in early-stage development program team management, driving cross-functional alignment in high-uncertainty environments, shaping early asset strategy, and enabling efficient progression through critical decision points and value inflection milestones. Demonstrates high level of expertise amongst peers and functions with the ablity to draw upon a deep knowledge of functional activities and plans . Able to directly assess cross-functional connectivity & risks based on experience. Ensures asset strategy and integrated development plan have a patient-centric focus, incorporates innovative approaches that are meaningful to patients, HCPs, regulators & payers, and adhere to the highest standards of operational excellence in drug development and life cycle management. Serves as facilitator and driver of GPT to ensure progress of asset development. This includes establishing meeting agendas in partnership with GPL, facilitating effective team discussions, driving to clear and timely team actions and decisions, holding team members accountable for action follow-through.  Ensures team effectiveness through team health checks with development and appropriate follow-through on action plans to boost team productivity. Partners with the GPL and program finance lead to provide financial oversight of the program including  global, cross-divisional budgets.  Includes consolidation, vetting and prioritization of GPT spending to deliver critical path activities. Leadership Expected to take on a leadership role on program team by leveraging experience and expertise in influencing program strategy and operations.  In addition to program specifc responsibilities, may work in franchise areas when responsibilities and impact are cross-program.  Capable of standing-in to represent and implement strategic direction on key programs in the portifolio at the team, franchise and governance levels. Experienced working in a complex organization and demonstrated ability to influence, and work across functions and regions, at all levels without direct authority Demonstrate the ability to bring project teams to consensus while acknowledging both risks and benefits while maintaining best practies of team behaviors.  Demonstrate extreme senstivity to team meeting facilitation striking the right balance speed and complexity in program team discussions.
