ESTIMATED PAY RANGE Engineer I: $40.45–$46.52/hour Engineer II: $44.14–$50.76/hour Engineer III: $47.83–$55.00/hour Senior Engineer: $51.51–$59.24/hour Final compensation is based on experience, skills, and alignment with role expectations. Paid overtime may be available. JOB SUMMARY As a Electrical Product Engineer in Faribault, MN, you will: Support manufacturing‑focused electrical product engineering with emphasis on product transfers, new product introduction (NPI), and production readiness Create and update electrical schematics, wiring and harness designs, wire‑kit documentation, and manufacturing‑ready BOMs Drive electrical DfMA improvements, BOM commonization, and design simplification across product lines Partner with manufacturing, quality, and suppliers to resolve production issues and ensure smooth factory launches Maintain accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and change records using electrical CAD and document‑control systems Improve reliability, consistency, and manufacturability of industrial electrical products and electromechanical assemblies Troubleshoot electrical build issues and support root‑cause analysis for wiring, harness, and component defects Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance product quality, reduce variation, and streamline assembly Work collaboratively with suppliers and Applied partners Contribute to projects that impact communities in Northfield, Owatonna, Dundas, Medford, Lakeville, Farmington, Waseca, and Lonsdale, and the greater southern Twin Cities metro Apply your skills in a dynamic environment that values ownership and innovation QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering required 5+ years of experience supporting manufacturing‑focused electrical engineering, product transfers, and new product introduction Proficiency with electrical schematics, wiring and harness design, wire‑kit documentation, and BOM creation Knowledge of DfMA principles, BOM commonization strategies, and design simplification for manufacturability Ability to troubleshoot electrical build issues and support root‑cause analysis for wiring, harness, and component defects Strong collaboration skills with manufacturing, quality, suppliers, and cross‑functional engineering teams Experience maintaining accurate engineering documentation, drawings, and change records in CAD and document‑control systems Understanding of industrial electrical products, electromechanical assemblies, and production readiness requirements Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a focus on reliability, consistency, and production efficiency Effective communication skills for conveying technical information, resolving issues, and supporting factory launches SKILLS AND VALUES Capable of working independently and as a team member Strong work ethic and unwavering integrity Excellent interpersonal skills and a learning mindset Curiosity, problem solving, and analytical thinking Effective verbal and written communication Desire to work on a variety of projects ADDITIONAL INFORMATION Please consider joining Applied's team of talented employees in Faribault, MN, and the greater southern Twin Cities metro area, with support from our Brooklyn Park, MN office.
