Job Description: Embedded Software V&V Engineer - Cybersecurity (Solventum) 3M Health Care is now Solventum The Impact   You’ll   Make in this Role   The   Embedded Software V&V Engineer - Cybersecurity is responsible for   a variety of software verification and validation (V&V) activities including   process development,   project planning, developing test procedures, developing software to automate testing, and providing reports. Key areas of responsibility   include   verification of medical device embedded software,   evaluating and testing medical device cybersecurity,   validation of software related to product testing, and development of s cripts/tools   to automate embedded software testing   including   Cybersecurity . This   role   will   participate   in code reviews,   comply with   software standards, and produce clear concise   documentation   that   complies   with   internal processes and regulatory agency requirements.   As a   Embedded Software V&V Engineer - Cybersecurity you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:   Creating   and   maintaining   processes and procedures supporting Software Design Verification and   Cybersecurity   Testing.   Develop ing   V&V software test project plans including regression planning and testing of software during the development process .   Develop ing   V&V software test   procedures u sing   current industry standards ( e.g.   ISO, IEEE, CMMI ).   Effectively manag ing   test project schedules by communicating project   workload , executing these planned activities, and coordinating with the larger project team.    Planning   and execut ing   team meetings including ,   but not limited to Test Approach, Test Readiness, and Pre-Release Review.   Participates in project team meetings.   Generat ing   test guidelines   for   the software team, Quality and Engineering groups   for testing software during development ;   design ing   and build ing   tools/ fixtures for embedded software during the development phase.     Develop ing   and implement ing   automated test procedures to streamline testing processes. Plac ing   a strong emphasis on continuous improvement and cost-effective innovation through new and improved technologies and innovative processes.   Develop ing   nimble   test scripts/tools   to automate embedded software system testing. Testing needs will change with each embedded software release ,   and the   automat ed   testing will need to be modular.   Coordinat ing   test activities with the project team.   Review ing   test   results   and   investigating,   if   issues occur.   Generat ing   software test documentation compliant   aligned with   Solventum   procedures.   Train ing   new software   design verification engineers and test   technicians to   Solventum   software verification and validation processes ,   including   Cybersecurity .   Your Skills and Expertise     To set you up for success in this role from day one,   Solventum   is looking for candidates who must have the following qualifications:   A STEM   Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution ,   preferable :   Computer Science, Computer Engineering,   or   Cybersecurity  Testing, and Seven   ( 7 ) y ear s experience in   Cybersecurity ,   Software Quality   Engineering   and/or Software Test Methodologies testing in a private, public, government, or military environment   AND Experience with other forms of security testing activities and   creating   documentation, such as software composition analysis (SCA), SBOM generation and monitoring, threat   modelling   and vulnerability assessments, and using associated frameworks , test plans, protocols, reports, etc   in a private, public, government, or military environment Additional   qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:   Experience with   Cybersecurity   testing and   equipment   (Penetration Testing,   malformed input testing / fuzz testing, static a pplication   security testing (SAST) ,   etc. )   Proficiency   with MS Office business software – Word, Excel, Project     Experience with   Cybersecurity   testing and   equipment   (Penetration Testing,   malformed input testing / fuzz testing, static a pplication   security testing (SAST) ,   etc. )   Advanced Degree   in   Software Engineering,   Computer Science, Computer Programming,   Cybersecurity ,   or Electrical Engineering Working knowledge of premarket and   postmarket   medical device regulations (FDA,   EU   and other agencies), as well as m edical device related standards, such as ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, amongst others.   Experience in Embedded Cybersecurity: Cryptography, PKI, Secure Boot, Firmware Security, Threat M
