Summary Job Description: Endoscopy Scope Processing Technician 40 Hours Weekly, Full Time, Dayshift Join our team and play a vital role in patient safety and exceptional care. We are seeking a detail-oriented Endoscopy Scope Processing Technician to ensure endoscopic equipment is properly cleaned, disinfected, sterilized, maintained, and ready for clinical use. Key Responsibilities: Clean, inspect, assemble, test, high-level disinfect, and sterilize endoscopic instruments and equipment according to established protocols and manufacturer guidelines. Process and maintain a variety of endoscopes and specialty equipment, including GI, pulmonary, ERCP/EUS, ION, and related instruments. Perform leak testing and verify proper function of scopes and patient care equipment. Maintain accurate documentation and tracking of equipment, maintenance records, and patient-related data within electronic systems. Monitor scope processing, drying, and storage areas to ensure compliance with infection prevention and regulatory standards. Keep work areas clean, organized, and stocked to support efficient daily operations. Immediately report equipment concerns, safety issues, or processing discrepancies to leadership. Participate in department meetings, annual competencies, and ongoing education. Assist with onboarding and training new team members as needed.
