Job Description Summary As a contributing member of the LOCA, Containment & Stability Analysis Team, you will perform safety analysis for plant thermal-hydraulic stability, plant noise, PRNM stability interface, and other analyses supporting reload applications for Boiling Water Reactor (BWR) plants, including currently operating BWR plants as well as new plants (BWRX, Natrium) operating or planned worldwide.
Job Description Roles and Responsibilities
Perform plant thermal-hydraulic stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, and other safety analyses with general expertise in two-phase thermal hydraulic analysis techniques.
Support fuel projects including reload analyses, methods implementation, new fuel introductions, and safety analysis support for emergent fuel issues.
Prepare, document and present technical data to internal/external customers.
Contribute to team process improvements to drive speed and simplification.
Ensure work is performed with high quality in accordance with NRC rules and regulations, customer requirements, and business quality assurance standards.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Discipline (Nuclear, Mechanical, Chemical, or similar) from an accredited college or university
Eligibility Requirements
This role requires access to U.S. export-controlled information. If applicable, final offers will be contingent on ability to obtain authorization for access to U.S. export-controlled information from the U.S. Government.
Desired Characteristics
Experience in BWR plant thermal hydraulic stability safety analysis & methods
Experience in Stability analyses, plant noise analyses, PRNM stability interface, stability setpoints methodology, and frequency and time domain methodologies
M.S. Degree in Nuclear Engineering with experience in T/H modeling as applied to nuclear reactor systems
Experience with BWR technology and BWR Stability analysis to support applicable regulatory requirements
Knowledge of plant operational support in the Stability area
Knowledge of reactor licensing requirements
Experience with BWR simulator and use of 3-D neutron kinetics (e.g., PANAC)
Experience with BWR/PWR T/H systems codes such as TRACG, RELAP, & TRACE
Programming experience such as C#, FORTRAN, or PYTHON
Demonstrated high energy and the ability to energize others
Honest and straightforward with a high level of personal integrity
Work easily and communicate effectively within a team environment
Seeks simple solutions to complex problems
Detail oriented and accountable for completion of work and assignments

For candidates applying to a U.S. based position, the pay range for this position is between $69,600.00 and $120,200.00. The Company pays a geographic differential of 110%, 120% or 130% of salary in certain areas. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate’s experience, education, and skill set.
Bonus eligibility: discretionary annual bonus.
