Role Overview We are looking for a highly skilled Azure Enhancement Lead to drive continuous improvement, optimization, and enhancement initiatives across enterprise Azure-based data and cloud platforms. The ideal candidate will lead enhancement programs focused on scalability, modernization, performance optimization, automation, governance, and operational excellence. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, leadership capability, stakeholder management, and delivery ownership in Azure cloud ecosystems. Key Responsibilities Enhancement & Modernization Lead enhancement initiatives for Azure-based applications, data platforms, and cloud services. Identify opportunities for platform optimization, automation, and modernization. Drive continuous improvement across cloud infrastructure, data pipelines, and analytics platforms. Analyze existing systems and recommend scalable and cost-effective enhancements. Define enhancement roadmaps aligned with business priorities. Azure Platform Management Oversee enhancements involving Azure-native services and architectures. Ensure high availability, reliability, scalability, and performance of Azure solutions. Lead implementation of cloud best practices across environments. Collaborate with infrastructure and security teams to ensure compliance and governance standards. Delivery Leadership Manage enhancement backlog, prioritization, and sprint planning. Coordinate with development, QA, DevOps, support, and business teams. Drive defect resolution, root cause analysis, and production improvements. Ensure timely delivery of enhancement releases with minimal business disruption. Lead technical discussions, architecture reviews, and deployment planning. Automation & DevOps Drive CI/CD adoption and automation initiatives. Improve deployment efficiency, monitoring, and operational processes. Implement observability, logging, and alerting frameworks. Promote Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and reusable deployment patterns. Stakeholder & Team Management Engage with business stakeholders to gather enhancement requirements. Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams. Work closely with enterprise architects and project managers. Communicate project status, risks, and recommendations to leadership. Required Skills & Experience Azure Technologies Microsoft Azure Platform Azure Data Factory (ADF) Azure Databricks Azure Synapse Analytics Azure Data Lake Storage (ADLS) Azure Functions Azure Logic Apps Azure SQL Database Azure Monitor Azure DevOps Cloud & Engineering Skills Strong understanding of cloud-native architectures. Experience in application and data platform enhancements. Expertise in performance tuning and optimization. Knowledge of distributed systems and enterprise integration. Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines. Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform/Bicep/ARM). Programming & Data Skills Proficiency in SQL and Python/PySpark. Pay: The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Fractal, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is: $150,000 - $185,000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus for the current performance period. Benefits: As a full-time employee of the company or as an hourly employee working more than 30 hours per week, you will be eligible to participate in the health, dental, vision, life insurance, and disability plans in accordance with the plan documents, which may be amended from time to time. You will be eligible for benefits on the first day of employment with the Company. In addition, you are eligible to participate in the Company 401(k) Plan after 30 days of employment, in accordance with the applicable plan terms.
