Job Summary Summary: As the Executive Director for Mass General Brigham professional clinical services in physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech-language pathology, you will champion a pursuit of clinical excellence across all acute units. This role ensures every patient experience transformative care that reflects our enterprise's highest values and strategic ambitions. This role will continuously improve standards to elevate rehabilitative outcomes and patient/clinician engagement. Does this position require Patient Care? Yes Essential Functions: Empowers the operational leadership team by fostering collaboration with partners across quality, education, and research to achieve improved, transformative clinical outcomes for patients. -Establish, implement, refine, and advance policies, guidelines, and procedures that enable clinical and operational excellence. -Lead with integrity, producing transparent reports for regulatory agencies, and fostering a culture of accountability and compliance. -Build impactful relationships across hospitals, the enterprise, and our community, ensuring rehabilitation services are present, inclusive, and deeply connected to those we serve. Represent our vision and values on key committees to strengthen our collective impact. -Drive the division's financial sustainability, including but not limited to direct margins, by collaborating with financial colleagues to achieve operational excellence and ensure resources are used wisely to support both exceptional care, continued process improvement, and innovation. -Cultivate a working environment where connection, purpose, and trust thrive. Qualifications Education Master's degree in physical therapy, occupational therapy or speech language pathology is required; Master's Degree in Business Administration or Healthcare Administration preferred. No Licenses and Credentials Occupational Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Physical Therapist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Speech-language Pathologist [State License] - Generic - HR Only preferred Experience Progressive leadership experience in rehabilitation services, acute care, or clinical operations within a complex hospital system 5-7 years required and Demonstrated experience leading acute or inpatient clinical programs across multiple sites 5-7 years required and Proven track record in strategic planning, financial management, and performance improvement 5-7 years required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities - Exemplify operational and visionary leadership abilities by guiding and directing expansive interprofessional/interdisciplinary teams and departments with various educational backgrounds, experience levels, credentials, and skills to achieve shared success. - Excellent interpersonal skills, including evidence of effectively managing and maintaining relationships. - Ability to effectively navigate frequent stress and crisis situations related to patient care, personnel matters, and a dynamic, ever-changing organizational climate – transforming adversity into opportunities for growth and positive change. - Good judgment, exceptional organizational abilities, and creative problem-solving skills. - Demonstrate solid analytical expertise and business acumen to develop and manage financially sustainable budgets and business plans.
