Job Description
Essential Duties and Responsibilities :
Respond to emergency situations, such as power failure, plumbing, heating, or vandalism incidents
Install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment
Perform daily onsite inspection of the facility (outside and within the building) to ensure everything is in working order prior to the start of the workday
Evaluate, repair and maintain plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems in the building
Minor carpentry, painting repairs to walls and cleaning duties work as needed
Repair malfunctioning equipment units and broken structures
Perform monthly inspections of fire extinguishers, exit signs, eye washing stations and other equipment
Light landscaping and grounds keeping work as needed
Office furniture and cubical re-configurations
Maintain communication and working relationships with all employees within the company
Repairs equipment such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, and production machines
Valid Massachusetts driver’s license
Due to the type of work at the facility and certain access restrictions, successful applicants must be a “US Person” (US Citizens, US Nationals, lawful permanent residents, asylees or refugees)
Education and Experience :
High school diploma/GED required
5+ years’ building maintenance experience
Working knowledge of MS Office software including Outlook
Job Knowledge, Skills and Abilities :
A flexible schedule and ability to work evenings and weekends when needed
Willingness to inspect and evaluate all mechanical aspects of the building
Ability to work occasionally in poor weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain or snow
Thorough working knowledge of facility equipment, their usage and safety procedures
Ability to perform minor electrical repairs of switches and outlets, ballast, sockets and fuses
General skills include carpentry, plumbing maintenance, drywall repair and painting
Ability to disassemble and reassemble modular office furniture/cubicles
Ability to follow and perform planned maintenance checks on manufacturing plant equipment as assigned
Ability to operate a snow blower, leaf blower, lawnmower and to use common hand and power tools
Supervisory Responsibilities :
None
Training Requirements :
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems
Hazardous Communications
Forklift and Hoisting training and certification
Personal Protective Equipment :
The use of safety glasses is required when working in production and lab areas as well as performing maintenance activities inside and outside the facility
Additional protection may be required while performing construction activities or working with machinery and equipment

Climb a ladder to evaluate facility roofs and ceilings
Vision: close vision and ability to adjust focus
Drive a vehicle to make repairs to facilities and equipment as well as operate a forklift
Work Environment :
Work is generally performed in both an office environment and an outdoor environment (year-round) with frequent interruptions and irregularities in the work schedule
May be exposed to extreme temperatures, close quarter situations, high and precarious places, moving mechanical parts, and vibrations
Salary Range:
$50,600.00-$67,500.000
The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, local regulations (such as minimum wage), education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
