Overview
What You Will Do
As a Facilities Maintenance Porter, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness, functionality, and aesthetics of the company facilities while providing support to various departments. Duties include general housekeeping, assisting with vehicle fleet management, preparing meeting and training rooms, and performing minor maintenance tasks. The successful candidate will be dependable, flexible, and possess a valid driver's license with experience operating pick-up trucks and towing trailers. Occasional weekend work and overnight travel may be required.
A Typical Day at Prime Controls
Help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming office environment inside and outside our facility.
Set up, reset, and organize conference rooms, training spaces, and meeting areas.
Coordinate room layouts, tables, chairs, and movable walls for meetings, training sessions, and company events.
Receive, set up, and clean up catering for meetings, training sessions, and special events.
Assist with company events by gathering, delivering, and organizing supplies and equipment.
Run local deliveries and errands using a company vehicle.
Support our Fleet Coordinator by delivering, retrieving, and helping maintain company vehicles.
Drive company pickup trucks (F-150/F-250) and occasionally tow small utility trailers.
Help outfit new fleet vehicles with toolboxes and other equipment.
Perform minor building maintenance, including changing light bulbs, touch-up painting, basic plumbing repairs, hanging décor or equipment, and other general facility repairs.
Pitch in wherever needed to help keep daily operations running efficiently.
Schedule Expectations
Reliable attendance and punctuality are essential.
Flexibility to support occasional early mornings, evening events, weekends, or overnight travel when business needs require
What You Will Bring
The Basic
Experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, property maintenance, or a similar hands-on role.
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
Comfortable driving full-size pickup trucks (F-150/F-250).
Experience towing small utility trailers.
Basic maintenance skills, including minor plumbing, painting, changing light bulbs, and general repairs.
Ability to lift, move, and carry equipment and supplies and perform physical work throughout the day.
Willingness to occasionally travel overnight and work outside normal business hours as needed
The Preferred
Experience in outfitting vehicles with toolboxes and other equipment.
Experience in setting up and tearing down meeting and training rooms.
Dependable and punctual.
Strong attention to detail.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
