Raytheon's team in Tucson, AZ is looking for a Quality Engineer to join the Effectors Operations Quality team supporting a face paced, multi value stream factory. The successful candidate will be a motivated self-starter capable of driving quality requirements, manufacturing objectives, continuous improvement, and achieving results in a matrixed environment.   You will support a manufacturing effort that requires the ability to operate in a challenging and dynamic environment where successful quality execution is a key contributor to overall success. The position is based in Tucson, AZ and requires Onsite presence. Sign-on bonus available, provided final candidate meets eligibility requirements. What You Will Do Verify product and process compliance with respect to contractual, technical, industry, AS9100 Quality Management System (QMS) requirements and internal policies Develop strong working relationships with the touch labor, factory leadership, program leadership, and DCMA Regular data analysis; development and usage of actionable metrics.  Generation and publication of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) metrics. Participate in cross-functional team in failure analysis, Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) investigations, including identifying non-conformances, providing solutions, tracking issues to closure and leading Corrective Action Boards (CAB) Ensure identification, physical control, and disposition of non-conforming material and facilitate Material Review Board (MRB) when necessary Support work instruction development and maintenance activities by reviewing work instructions, test instructions, auditing processes, and assuring configuration management Development and maintenance of inspection instructions, ensuring inspection instructions meet the technical data package requirements and meet production needs Development and release of First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with AS9102 Regularly interface with Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) and internal stakeholders to manage issues Participate in weekly meetings to help reduce cost of poor quality and facilitate timely red rack dispositions Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) Minimum of two (2) years of experience in related Quality, Operations, Engineering or related technical discipline Experience with interpreting engineering drawings, work instructions, Bill of Materials (BOMs), and/or consumable materials control Assembly, Inspection and/or Test manufacturing process experience Experience with AS9100 and/or ISO 9001 quality management systems The ability to obtain and maintain an ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives) clearance prior to the start date. Ability to obtain INTERIM U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.   U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.
