Overview
This faculty will be responsible for providing educational leadership, student instruction and advisement in the Architectural Technology, Building Science and Sustainable Design, including but not limited to all course work within the curricula. Due to significant program growth, we are expanding our faculty team to support the increased number of incoming students.

Qualifications
EDUCATION
Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or related discipline. Required
Master's Degree in Architecture or a related discipline. Preferred
In-depth knowledge of CAD as applied to architectural drawing and an in-depth knowledge of building science and sustainability. Preferred
Doctorate in a related discipline. Preferred
Formal coursework in Education. Preferred
LICENSES AND CERTIFICATIONS
Licensure as a Registered Architect or Professional Engineer. Preferred
EXPERIENCE
Four (4) years of professional experience in architecture or closely related job responsibilities. Required
Experience in computer graphics, computer applications, or computer-aided design. Required
Experience with sustainability issues in the AEC industry Preferred
Two (2) years of teaching experience at the college/university level. Preferred
ABILITIES AND SKILLS
Competence in oral and written communication skills. Required
Ability to provide quality instruction. Required
Developed organizational skills. Required
Interpersonal skills necessary to deal effectively and courteously with students, staff and other faculty. Required
Sensitivity to the expectations of students, faculty, staff, and the public. Required
Demonstrated sensitivity to diversity and multicultural issues. Required
Possession of a valid driver's license. Preferred
Responsibilities
Instruct and evaluate student performance in Architecture and in Building Science and Sustainable Design, including but not limited to all course work within the curricula.
Advise, schedule, and maintain accurate records on students.
Maintain office hours according to contractual guidelines.
Write and update course syllabi; assist with curriculum review, revision, and development.
Assume responsibility for laboratory development, coordination, and maintenance.
Comply with College safety, hazardous waste disposal, and recycling policies.
Engage in professional development and technological upgrading activities.
Contribute to betterment of College through School, Department, and collegewide committee participation.
Assist with the development and maintenance of course, department, and school Outcomes Assessment plans, activities, and documentation.
Assist with the development of grant proposals and with followup activities.
Collect, maintain, and analyze student outcomes assessment data for use within the Department and School.
Assist the Department Head in developing instructional material lists, equipment specifications, department budget requests, and assist in planning and development of the master schedule.
Assist in providing tours and student recruitment activities scheduled by the College, School, and/or Department.
Maintain a high degree of confidentiality with regards to any and all information as a direct or indirect result of job responsibilities/job functions.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform other appropriate job-related duties as assigned by Dean/Assistant Dean.
Provide coordination and supervision for instructional field projects.

Pay Transparency Commensurate with credentials submitted as applied to the College’s Faculty Salary System. As a point of reference, the salary range for new full-time faculty hired in various disciplines throughout the College for the 2025/26 academic year is $61,969 – $79,813
