Employment Type: Part time Shift: Day Shift Description: FINANCIAL ANALYST LOCATION : On-site, Boise, Idaho. Relocation is not available. STEM OPT OR OTHER VISA SPONSORSHIP NOT AVAILABLE GENERAL SUMMARY: Under limited supervision, compiles and analyzes financial information from various systems including   EMR systems , Hyperion, and   Kaufman Hall .  Cultivates areas of expertise within finance and serves as finance representative on organizational initiatives.  P osition involves creating, managing ,   and reporting on financials, operations and/or business development opportunities.    Responsible for maintenance and support of numerous systems; generates a variety of complex reports and deliverables.    Performs integral functions in formation of   quarterly forecasts .    Participates in and fosters an approach to continuously improve business performance within the physician network.    Key contributor to existing program analysis and reviewing and/or creating business plans for new acquisitions.      REQUIREMENTS:    Bachelor's Degree required.    Master’s Degree in related field such as Accounting, Healthcare Administration, or Business Administration preferred.      Two (2)   year s ’   experience   in data analysis   or finance preferred ,   preferably in a health care setting,   with   advanced   MS E xcel   skills   highly desirable .    WHAT YOU WILL DO: Knows, understands, incorporates, and demonstrates the Organizational Mission, Core Values, and Vision in behaviors, practices,   policies,   and decisions .   Demonstrate s   a strong proficiency in data management, including data acquisition, mining, analysis, data integrity management and reporting.   Dev elop s   decision-support and decision-making materials.    Analyze s   data and provide insights and recommendations for organizational planning, finance and/or operations.   Act s   in a consulting function for research design, data collection, interpretation ,   and pre sentation.   Create s   business analytics by synthesizing information from multiple sources of data. Manage consolidation of complex data into meaningful information for business decisions and strategic planning.    Function s   as a "Finance Representative" to clinic managers during the   forecasting   process.  Provide s   training to new managers as needed.  These activities require expert knowledge of the   Kaufman Hall   program.   Measure s   and evaluate s   the effectiveness of programs, processes ,   and deliverables; compare measurement results to standards and make recommendations for increased efficiencies.    Provides leadership in the development of business plans, financial reports,   dashboards,   program design, and/or operational excellence.   In addition to   EMR , Hyperion, and   Kaufman Hall , the ability to access data from PeopleSoft,   and/or   Business Objects may be required.   Ability to create, manage, organize, interpret, and present data.    Strong applied research, statistical and financial analysis background   gained either through work or school experience necessary .    Experience with budgeting, analyzing trends and making recommendations.   Strong written and oral communication skills that facilitate effective interaction with all levels of management and staff.     Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and ability to multi-task.    Ability to create and foster a cooperative team - work environment.   HEALTH SYSTEM INFORMATION: Saint Alphonsus Health System is a faith-based ministry and not-for-profit health system serving Idaho, Oregon, and northern Nevada communities.
