Supervise the team responsible for ensuring customer product order requirements are consistently met while following all regulatory and company safety standards, policies, and procedures.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise, train, provide performance feedback and assign duties of direct reports to ensure productivity, efficiency, and effectiveness
Monitor and improve production department policies, processes, procedures and inventories to maximize operational efficiencies
Calculate, monitor, and analyze production, freezing, packaging, and shipping performance to meet goals and ensure process control
Monitor hourly employee compliance, sanitation and food safety policies and regulations
Assist the safety team with identifying, correcting and providing training for safety issues
Participate in the investigation of accidents and injuries as well as preparing any materials or evidence
Troubleshoot and adjust high-speed industrial equipment and machinery to maintain operational efficiency
Ensure work areas and equipment are kept clean and safe throughout shift; in addition to following weekly and master sanitation schedule
ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES May perform inspections and review operations as a participant of the food safety team
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES) 2 years’ production supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
Thorough knowledge in chemical control and understanding of titration (chemical concentration) and testing procedures to monitor cleaning systems
Understanding of formulation, percentages, and functionality of ingredients in the mixing process
Basic math skills
Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external customers.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and multi-task various and conflicting responsibilities
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to deal with ambiguity
Ability to work with, in, and around industrial machinery
Ability to work in temperatures as low as -20 Fahrenheit/-25 Celsius in cold storage sites or up to 100 Fahrenheit/37 Celsius in dry storage sites while wearing company provided personal protective equipment and freezer gear
Must be comfortable with various noise levels, at times, can be loud
Ability to work a flexible work schedule and shift, including weekends if needed
Bilingual in English/Spanish highly preferred
