This position offers the opportunity to practice comprehensive gastroenterology in a collaborative hospital-based environment, delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. Responsibilities Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including: Esophagogastroduodenoscopy (EGD) Colonoscopy Biopsy and polypectomy Hemostasis and dilation PEG placement Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal conditions including: Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) Liver disease and hepatitis Pancreatic disorders Gastrointestinal bleeding Participate in a shared call schedule Qualifications MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency Completion of accredited Gastroenterology fellowship Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology Eligible for or active Maine medical license DEA registration BLS and ACLS certification Pay Transparency Central Maine Medical Center offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $527,0000 to $$594,000. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
