Compensation (Hourly - Straight Time): $20.00 / hour • Hourly pay, not flat rate – steady income with no worry about slow days or inconsistent flag hours. • Consistent workflow – always a full pipeline of vehicles to inspect and prepare. • Straightforward repairs – work focused on essential safety and functionality items. Summary: The Automotive Technician plays a key role in getting pre-owned vehicles ready for retail by performing essential inspections and light mechanical repairs. This is a steady hourly position with consistent work and no reliance on flat-rate hours. It is a great fit for technicians who enjoy a fast-paced environment, a clear workflow, and the satisfaction of getting vehicles safely back on the road. Duties and Responsibilities Perform multi-point mechanical inspections on incoming pre-owned vehicles. Complete light mechanical repairs such as brakes, batteries, filters, bulbs, hoses, fluids, belts, and similar items. Identify safety or drivability concerns and escalate items that require higher-level diagnosis or repair. Document all work performed and parts used with accuracy and attention to detail. Meet reconditioning cycle time goals to ensure vehicles are ready for retail in a timely manner. Safely move vehicles throughout service, reconditioning, and retail-ready areas. Partner with service managers, advisors, and parts personnel to keep the recon process moving efficiently. Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-compliant work area. Minimum 1+ years of experience in general automotive maintenance or repair Valid driver's license and a clean driving record. All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA. All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid driver license.
