The Artwork Specialist is responsible for preparing, reviewing, and delivering production-ready artwork that meets brand standards, regulatory requirements, and printing specifications. This role works closely with Marketing, Design, Regulatory Affairs, Packaging Development, and external print suppliers to ensure all artwork is accurate, compliant, and delivered on time while maintaining the highest quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare final production artwork for packaging, labels, promotional materials, and marketing collateral.
Adapt creative designs into print-ready files according to technical specifications and manufacturing requirements.
Ensure artwork complies with corporate brand guidelines, regulatory requirements, and country-specific labeling standards.
Review artwork for accuracy, including text, graphics, dimensions, colors, barcodes, dielines, and legal content.
Manage version control and document revisions throughout the artwork lifecycle.
Coordinate artwork approval workflows with cross-functional stakeholders.
Work directly with printers and external suppliers to resolve technical production issues.
Perform prepress verification and prepare files according to printing processes (offset, flexography, digital, gravure, etc.).
Maintain organized digital asset libraries and artwork documentation.
Support continuous improvement initiatives related to artwork management processes.
Meet project timelines while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Ensure compliance with company quality systems and internal procedures.
Education
Bachelor's degree or technical diploma in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Prepress Technology, or related field.
Experience
3–5 years of experience in artwork production, prepress, or packaging artwork within a multinational company, printing industry, or consumer goods environment.
Experience working with packaging artwork and production processes.
Familiarity with regulated industries is considered an advantage (Food, Pharma, Medical Devices, Cosmetics, Consumer Goods).
Familiar of DIrect Mail preparation process and North America print formats in general

Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud:

Adobe Photoshop
Adobe Acrobat Professional
Strong understanding of:
Prepress processes
Color management (CMYK, Pantone)
Print production
Dielines
Bleeds and trapping
Packaging specifications
Barcode verification
Page imposition experience
Experience with Artwork Management Systems (e.g., Esko WebCenter, Blue, Loftware, or similar) is preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
Experience with SAP, PLM, or document management systems is a plus.
Knowledge of Mechanical outcome tools such as Tripple Triangle
P reflight process, color correction process and print provider's color profile understanding
