Hiring Immediately! Waterfront Security Patrol Officers in San Francisco, CA
$27.50/ Per Hour
Weekend and holiday availability is required
Applicants need to be flexible with their schedule and willing to work weekends, day, evenings, overnights and holidays, if needed.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience in security or customer service fields. Must have active CA State training and Guard Card licensing.

Skills & Abilities:
Must have excellent customer service skills and a strong command presence.
Mandatory California Guard Card, Training Certifications and CPR are required
Prior EMT experience is highly desirable.
Military and/or law enforcement background is preferred
Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and procedures.
Strong communication and report writing skills.
Professional appearance and demeanor.
Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for extended periods.
Comfortable using security systems, radios, and incident reporting tools.
Excellent computer, grammar and punctuation skills a must.
Conflict de-escalation and customer service skills.
Waterfront & Perimeter Patrol
Conduct continuous foot patrols along historic pier district frontage, loading areas, walkways, and building exteriors .
Maintain high visibility to deter trespassing, vandalism, and unauthorized access.
Monitor waterfront edges, gates, and access points for safety and security concerns.
Safety & Incident Response
Respond promptly to security incidents, disturbances, alarms, and emergency calls within the pier district.
Provide initial assessment and support until SFPD, EMS, or Port of San Francisco personnel arrive.
Document incidents clearly and accurately in daily activity reports.
Access Control & Property Protection
Observe and report activity around office entrances, service doors, loading docks, and restricted areas .
Ensure exterior doors, gates, and lighting remain secure and operational.
Monitor contractor activity, deliveries, and maintenance crews working on or around the pier.
Public Interaction & Customer Service
Provide professional assistance to tenants, employees, visitors, and waterfront pedestrians.
Offer directions, escorts, and general support while enforcing property rules respectfully.
Serve as a calm, approachable presence along the Embarcadero corridor.
Environmental & Safety Monitoring
Identify and report hazards such as damaged railings, lighting outages, spills, or unsafe waterfront conditions.
Observe weather‑related risks (high winds, slippery surfaces, rising tides) and notify management as needed.
Communication & Coordination
Maintain clear radio communication with supervisors, dispatch, and fellow officers.
Coordinate with Port of San Francisco security, building management, and local law enforcement when required.
Follow all post orders, emergency procedures, and property‑specific protocols.
Event & Activity Support
Provide security coverage for scheduled events, tenant functions, and increased foot‑traffic periods along the waterfront.
Assist with crowd awareness, perimeter monitoring, and safety oversight during activations.
Qualifications:
At least 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must have excellent customer service skills and a strong command presence.
