Overview
The Quality Control Unit Associate is responsible for assisting the department’s monitoring on its operational effectiveness of all teams through multiple risk assessment practices.
Responsibilities
HR Operational Effectiveness
Ensure HR operational effectiveness by monitor and assess all teams’ operations, deliver training session and coaching when necessary, and provide recommendations
Assist in the establishment and execution on quality assurance program for higher risk processes
Provide guidance to all teams on risk assessment and control testing activities, suggest improvement ideas or corrective action activities accordingly, and identify areas of continuous improvement for all teams within the department
Human Resources Risk Management
Review applicable regulatory requirements, specifically in labor law or industry developments, to identify any issues that may impact the department’s operations and disseminate information accordingly to ensure compliance
Coordinate with the department’s ABAC point of contract to perform ABAC related controls
Monitor and conduct analysis on Human Resources Department owned KRIs and provide recommendations where it’s applicable
Liaise as Human Resources Department point of contact between department and Chief Data Office to perform record retention required tasks including inventory update and records disposal
Maintain, review, and update Human Resources Department's record retention schedule and/or other relevant documents
Coordinate reviews and updates on Human Resources Department-owned Policies and Procedure in accordance with Bank requirements
Monitor the Bank’s complaince with Head Office nepotism-related requirements
Facilitating planning, due diligence, contract negotiation, ongoing monitoring, continuous monitoring, and termination of third-party relationships
Overseeing all vendor-related activities to ensure they are compliant with BOC US Branches’ Third Party Risk Management requirements
Provide assistance to Front Line Unit Risk Manager on completing risk management tasks
Communicate and train Human Resources employees on risk related policies, processes, knowledge, etc.
Audit
Facilitate HR-related audit and exam tasks on an as needed basis, including but not limited to preparation of the deliverables, provide guidance and suggestions to other HR teams, supply data points for drafting HR responses to auditors and regulators
Attend the necessary meetings to discuss such audits
Ensure soundness of submissions to auditors, where appropriate
Ad Hoc
Attend meetings that require Human Resources Department’s attendance and address requests on an as needed basis, such as those for the Data Governance Committee, and Recovery and Resolution Plan
Ensure soundness of submissions to regulators where appropriate
Participate and coordinate Bank-wide projects on an as needed basis
Participate and coordinate on departmental ad-hoc projects on an as needed basis
Other HR Functions
Assist with other HR functions, such as recruitment, employee relations, and training and learning development, if needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degreeis required, preferably in human resources related majors; Master’s degree or above is highly preferred
1-3 years of Human resources relevant experiences are required
Knowledge of Employment Law/EEOC requirements is required
Knowledge of Financial/Banking industry, vendor management, and risk management is required
Pay Range Actual salary is commensurate with candidate’s relevant years of experience, skillset, education and other qualifications.
USD $42,000.00 - USD $90,000.00 /Yr.
