Overview
The Human Resources Specialist supports TEC’s day-to-day HR operations. This position has responsibility in a variety of areas – talent acquisition, compensation, and continuous improvement of HR systems and processes. The HR Specialist’s primary objective is to collaborate cross-functionally to build and maintain talent acquisition and HR processes and system integrations that support the organization's long-term success.
Responsibilities
Owns the operational infrastructure supporting the full employee lifecycle from rehire and pre-hire through onboarding, first 90 days, and ongoing lifecycle changes
Serves as the process and systems backbone of the talent acquisition function — not a recruiter, but the engine that makes recruiting effective
Designs, manages, and continuously improves the workflows, tools, and compliance processes that determine how well new employees land and ramp in their first year
Functions as administrator for the ATS, maintaining data integrity, system configuration, and reporting across all employee lifecycle phases
Partners cross-functionally with recruiters, hiring managers, IT, and payroll to ensure seamless coordination at every transition point in the employee journey
Operates with a high degree of autonomy and independent judgment — this role builds structure, identifies gaps, and leads process improvement
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field preferred
2–3 years of experience in an HR-related role
Must have solid organizational skills, accuracy, and strong attention to detail
Technical proficiency with HR software – iCIMS and Paylocity preferred
Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
High level of integrity and professionalism in dealing with confidential information
