We are seeking a motivated and patient-focused Inside Sales Specialist to serve as a primary point of contact for patients throughout their Nidra Therapy journey. This individual will guide patients from prescription through shipment, provide education on Nidra Therapy, help patients understand their insurance coverage and financial responsibilities, and coordinate with internal teams to support a timely and positive patient experience
This role requires empathy, attention to detail, and the ability to explain clinical, product, and insurance-related information clearly. The Inside Sales Specialist will work closely with Patient Access, Customer Care, Sales, and other internal teams to address barriers, maintain patient engagement, and help patients move forward with therapy
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and relationship-building skills, experience supporting patients or customers in a healthcare environment, and a working understanding of insurance benefits and patient access processes. Success in this role requires a patient-centered mindset, persistence, accountability, and the ability to manage multiple cases in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities
Guide patients through the Nidra Therapy journey from prescription through shipment using phone, email, SMS, live chat, and other communication channels
Serve as a consistent point of contact for patients, providing compassionate, timely, and accurate support throughout the process
Educate patients on Nidra Therapy, including treatment expectations, product features, potential benefits, and how the therapy compares with traditional treatment options
Explain insurance coverage, benefits, out-of-pocket costs, financial responsibilities, and available payment options in a clear and patient-friendly manner
Develop and maintain a working knowledge of commercial insurance, Medicare, Veterans Affairs benefits, and other payer pathways
Help patients understand patient access processes, including benefits verification, prior authorizations, documentation requirements, denials, and appeals
Conduct proactive outbound outreach and respond promptly to inbound patient inquiries to maintain engagement and support progression toward shipment
Identify barriers that may prevent patients from moving forward and collaborate with internal teams to develop appropriate solutions
Coordinate cross-functionally with Patient Access, Customer Care, Sales, Marketing, and other stakeholders to support timely patient progression
Handle a broad range of patient engagement, sales, and service responsibilities with professionalism, empathy, and efficiency
Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of patient interactions, case status, follow-up activities, and outcomes within Salesforce Health Cloud
Ensure all patient communications and documentation comply with HIPAA requirements, company policies, and applicable procedures
Provide feedback on patient concerns, recurring barriers, and workflow opportunities to improve the overall patient journey
Meet performance goals related to patient engagement, case progression, shipment conversion, documentation quality, and customer satisfaction
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree preferred, with equivalent experience in healthcare, patient access, insurance, sales, or customer service considered in lieu of a degree
At least 1 year of experience in healthcare, medical devices, patient access, health insurance, inside sales, care coordination, or customer service
Experience communicating directly with patients or customers by phone, email, text, or other digital channels
Knowledge of insurance benefits, eligibility, prior authorizations, denials, appeals, and Durable Medical Equipment processes preferred
Ability to explain complex therapy, insurance, and financial information in a clear, accurate, and compassionate manner
Strong patient engagement, relationship-building, objection-handling, and problem-solving skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with fluency in Spanish considered an advantage
Experience with Salesforce Health Cloud or a similar CRM or case-management platform preferred
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and Salesforce
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple patient cases, follow-up activities, and priorities simultaneously
High level of accountability, attention to detail, and commitment to completing work accurately and on time
Ability to collaborate effectively across departments while maintaining ownership of the patient experience
Results-oriented approach with the persistence and creativity needed to overcome patient access barriers
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining empathy, professionalism, and a high level of customer service
Compensation:
$36.06 per hour + commission
