Compensation range: $22.48 - $25.69 per hour Employee Benefits: 15 days of PTO 13 Paid holidays Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance 401k + Employer Match Paid Parental Leave Wellness App with reimbursement of up to $500 per year Profit Sharing Position Summary Location:  San Jose, CA (covering the Bay Area, including San Francisco, CA) Hours:  5:30 am - 2:00 pm, Monday - Friday  The Installer receives, unloads, and installs (assembles) systems furniture (modular) and freestanding furniture.  Ensures accurate and timely installation of products in compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications and to the customer’s satisfaction.  Responsibilities:   Assist in the loading, unloading, and occasional transportation of furniture  Install (assemble) furniture – both modular and freestanding, in compliance with the manufacturer’s specifications  Identify and develop product lists, from blueprints, necessary to complete installations.  Install furniture in compliance with design specifications  Provide fine-tuning of furniture upon completion of installation, ie, cleaning, wiping down, and leveling  Take direction from Lead Installer and Supervisor for loading, transport, unloading, staging, stripping, assembly, and movement of furniture  Qualifications:   Education/Experience  High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  Knowledge/Skills/Abilities  Mechanical ability with knowledge of hand/power tools listed under Required Tools  Good organizational skills  Ability to follow instructions  Must have reliable transportation to work at job sites throughout the Bay Area  Dedication and commitment to promote diversity, multiculturalism, and inclusion in all work activities  Collaborate in diverse teams to foster productive outcomes  Knowledge of Google Suite Programs   Required Tools  18V Cordless drill, charger & 2 batteries, apex/magnetic bit holder, bits (P2, P3, R2, R3) & nut drivers, drill bits for wood & metal, socket adapters, ratchet set, wonder bar, torpedo level, dead blow (non-marking), (3) standard & (3) Philip screwdrivers, pliers, channel locks, needle nose, tape measure, open wrench set, 3 light electrical tester, utility knife, allen wrench set (standard & metric), vise grips & tool bag.   Physical Requirements  Seeing, color and depth perception, hearing/listening, clear speech, touching, ability to move distances within and between warehouses/offices, ability to mount and dismount forklift/truck, pushing/pulling, driving, lifting to 100 pounds, and carrying up to 50 pounds.  Must be able to climb up into and down from delivery trucks, and walk up and down ramps where required.  Work Environment  Works around dust and dirt, may be required to work different shifts and work hours; may work alone or with a team; in moderate heat or cold, around electrical equipment, fumes/odors, and/or dirt/dust.  Generally works around loud noises such as trucks, forklifts, and power hand tools.  If this sounds like the right opportunity for you, we encourage you to apply with your resume today.
